Our staff and students will be making a big effort on Friday, with all classes suspended for students to do the mile.

Whole college to turn out for Sport Relief mile.

Over 400 students and staff, (including some from Leisure East Devon which is based at the college) will be doing the Sport Relief mile this Friday 23rd March at Bicton College.

Participants will be running, rolling, jogging and walking the mile down the college drive to the main gate and back. Everyone will be meeting for the 9.20am briefing outside Bicton House followed by a group warm up prior to the 9.30am start.

There will be prizes, sponsored by Leisure East Devon, for fastest male and female, the most unique method of travel and the best dressed entry. Sports Lecturer and event organiser Ingrid Reynolds has stressed that the use of wheels or hooves of any description will result in immediate disqualification! She said, 'We want to help raise money for the Sport Relief Charity, and this event fits in well with our student enrichment programme. We are a community here at Bicton College and it's important that we play our part in the wider community and set a good example to our students.'

All donations and entries are welcome and entrants as asked to pay a minimum £1.00 per person.
