Although most people living in Topsham will have already protected their homes with sandbags, Exeter City Council said today (Monday) that it had additional bags available for collection in Topsham if needed.
The City Council will have a gang of workers in Topsham to help people as the week goes on.
The Council is urging anyone whose homes may be at risk to protect their properties and any other possessions that may come into contact with flood water, such as cars parked close to the River.
The Council is also advising people to stay away from the water's edge in the areas expected to be affected. For more information go to
