In a two week building project costing many thousands of pounds, the gents, ladies and disabled loos have all been fully modernised and look absolutely awesome.
Most of the design work was carried out by the cinema’s very own joint Assistant Manager, George Barron, and includes custom made and designed wallpaper picturing the cinema in all its glory.
The work was carried out in an especially busy period for the cinema, but the contractors organised by the company’s head office maintenance department managed to keep disruption to a minimum.
‘I’m absolutely delighted with the work,’ said General Manager, Andy Botterill. ‘We’ve been waiting a little while for the toilets to be refurbished, but it’s been really worth the wait. They look amazing.
‘In the new year we’ll be looking at painting the inside and outside of the building, to bring it up to the same very high standard,’ he added.
The Exeter Picturehouse opened in 1996 and next year will celebrate its 20th anniversary of bringing quality cinema to the city.
