With just a few days to go to “Exmouth Means Business” the organisers are delighted with the response of local businesses. The one day show will take place on Thursday 27th October at Exmouth Community College and will be open from 9.30am – 3.30pm.

The show will be opened by the Chair of Governors Jill Elson who said

“Exmouth Community College is very pleased to welcome the Exmouth Chamber’s Business Fair during October Half Term. The College wishes to work in partnership with business, as it is an essential for our students. Young people have to make choices when they are aged 14yrs (Year 9) on their future studies for exams. The College is educating young people for the future and we want them to be successful in the ever changing world of work – apprenticeships, further education college, University or straight into work. Our businesses need to tell us the skills they need and employ our young people. It may be in the future we can help business with their need to up skill their workforce for example in digital working within our sixth form.”

At time of writing most of the stands have been taken up. Local companies and organisations who have booked in the last couple of weeks include East Devon District Council Economic Development, Charter Group Financial Management, IMSM, Flikk Ltd, FSB and Cornwall College Business – Bicton College. A full list of exhibitors can be found at the Exmouth Chamber website.

Westerly Exeter BMW are supporting sponsor and will be displaying one of their latest cars outside the entrance to the event, which is also supported by media partners The Journal & Herald, Devon Life Business & Professional and Bay FM.

A networking cafe will be open all day from 8am, serving tea, coffee and refreshments provided by Taste Catering of Exeter.

The Show is being organised by thebestof Exeter, who have considerable experience of organising business shows like their own South West Business Expo. Thebestof Exeter Managing Director Dave Barr said “We have now added three seminar slots to the day’s programme, which I hope will give delegates even more reason to attend and stay longer. It really will be a first rate networking event, a chance to connect with business not only from Exmouth, but also across East Devon and Exeter. There is still time to book, so I hope to see as many local business people as possible on the day - it is of course free to attend.”

There may still be one or two stands available – You can check at www.exmouthchamber.co.uk/exmouthmeansbusiness where delegates can also book to attend free.

If you are in business and would like to book a stand please call thebestof Exeter on 01392 349135 or email exeter.office@thebestof.co.uk
