This section of the path follows the Teign Estuary shore.
Several walkers have become stuck in the mud as they have deviated off the path across the mud flat sections. This area should only be walked within two hours of low tide. It is uneven and can be slippery after heavy rain or high tides. Stay as near to the landward edge of the estuary as possible and never leave the path or you may get stuck in the mud!
Always ensure you check the tide times before you walk this route, as the path is not always passable at high tide. Tide Times link.
