Spring is just around the corner!!

The winter vineyard work is coming to an end - 20,000 vines pruned - 2000 vines to go!

End of Pruning Lunch Party - Sunday 25th March

We will be having our end of pruning lunch party on Sunday 25th March.  This is a traditional party in vine growing areas of the world to celebrate the end of the winter work.  We ask people to bring along a steak, other meats or vegetarian alternative, baguette/ salads and we will fire up the bbqs with the vine cuttings to provide great flavours.  A few bottles of wine will be cracked and we will celebrate the season!

The lunch is open to all (you don't need to have done any pruning!) which will be from 12:30 till 2pm at Marianne Pool Farm Clyst St George EX3 0NZ.   Directions in attached file.

We will be doing the final pruning in the Clyst St George Vineyard (next to Marianne Pool Farm) from 10am till 12:30pm if anybody fancies some exercise before lunch.  Contact us for information.

2012 Partner Vineyard 

We are currently finalising people and businesses who wish to join our 2012 Dragons Den inspired Partner Vineyard.  We will be planting another 2 acres of vineyard at the beginning of May.  Last year we had about 30 people and business groups join us.  This is a 10 year long project from planting the vines, to after 3 years, harvesting the grapes and drinking the wine!  Further details are on our website or contact me to meet up over a glass or two!

Tours of the Vineyard

This year our Tours will be around the Clyst St George Vineyard and will include viewing the new winery.  The tours will start mid May and will again be Thursday evenings at 4:30pm and Saturday mornings at 11:30 am.  We will add some extra times over the summer period.  After Easter we should have a page on our website giving full details and online booking.   Please note the Vineyard or Winery is not open to the public outside tour times.

Exeter Festival of Food And Drink  - 13th to 15th April 

We will have our classic van in the Castle Courtyard again so please do come along for a glass of bubbly and a chat - its a great event and the start of Summer!
