O'Brien's in the Guildhall Shopping Centre was identified as the best loved business in Exeter following a two-week survey, run by TheBestOf, gaining 92 positive recommendations from customers.
It was then put forward to the national competition, where it came 97th out of 30,000 other businesses and was also recognised as the second most loved catering business in the UK.
Alastair and Lorraine Nimmo, who opened the cafe, will celebrate five years in business in August.
