The Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series returns to Exeter in July 2017 for the third time with the English stage: Mitsubishi Motors Exeter 7s.
Run in partnership with Exeter City Council, the Mitsubishi Motors Exeter 7s is a fun event for all the family. With thousands of fans heading to Sandy Park over the last two years, the 2017 event is set to be even bigger and better with more rugby and entertainment on offer for spectators.
Following the introduction of rugby sevens into last year’s Olympic Games in Rio, the sport’s popularity continues to grow. This event offers the chance to watch Europe’s best sevens players – including England – play at Sandy Park.
Sevens events around the world have gained a reputation for having a feel-good carnival atmosphere, and the Mitsubishi Motors Exeter 7s promises to deliver this once again.
The Exeter round of the tournament, held on 15 and 16 July 2017, will be the final stage of the Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Series 2017 that kicks off in Russia on 3 and 4 June, then moves to Poland (10/11 June).
The twelve teams taking part in the tournament and a full schedule of events will be confirmed at a later date.
