Thousands of local residents and visitors enjoyed a bargain day out at Devon’s Crealy last weekend, thanks to the Park’s £4 ticket offer.
 
The promotion, which fixed entrance prices to Crealy on Saturday and Sunday at just £4 per person, attracted guests keen to spend quality time with their family, particularly on Fathers Day, when the Park had one of its best days ever.

“There were 6,700 very happy people here at Crealy on Sunday,” said Josh Haywood, the Park’s General Manager. “It was the best attendance we have had in a very long time and we are thrilled that so many people could take up our special offer. We had first-time guests and others who haven’t visited in a while - but everyone looked like they were having a great time, adults and children alike.”

With Saturday’s attendance figures up 226 per cent and Sunday up 295 per cent on a normal June weekend, Josh says that Crealy may consider running similar promotional weekends in the future.

“With the current economic climate still so uncertain, we appreciate that everyone is having to tighten their belts and often treats like family days out are the first to go, especially for those with large families, so we hope we have been able to give people a lovely time together.

“We know how important families are - we are a family-run business ourselves. We hope that everyone who came enjoyed their day and that they can see what great value a Crealy membership offers as there is something here for all ages,” Josh said.

The Park recently scooped four awards in recognition of its place as Devon’s top family day out, winning ‘Best Overall’ and ‘Family Attraction of the Year’, as voted by Primary Times readers, as well as ‘Family Business of the Year’ and ‘Best Tourism/Hospitality Business’ in the Express and Echo Business Awards.

Crealy has invested heavily in the Park over the winter, with the indoor play area for younger children, Buddy Bear’s Kingdom, being completely revamped, and the Showdome features live Buddy and Blossom Bear shows every day.
