Mark Shaddick, the Access & Rescue School Manager said: “Harken approached us to be a preferred training provider for the PowerSeat due to our reputation, quality and openness as a training centre”. The Access & Rescue School’s new working at height course is designed specifically for delegates that require training for rope access, particularly for those in construction, renewable energy, telecommunications and maritime industries. The course is held at Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters in Exeter, Devon, UK.
The aim of the course is to enable delegates to carry out pre user checks on the PowerSeat. Students will also learn how to rig the system for access, rescue and lifting purposes.
This course is ideal for companies interested in purchasing the PowerSeat and would like to undertake training in its capabilities or for those who would like to find out more about the benefits of training with the PowerSeat.
The launch of PowerSeat Electric unveils new possibilities in enclosed and confined-space rope access & rescue. It has a powerful 300-kilogram hoist capacity and the sensitive control to perform the most difficult rescues. It is also ideal when precise manoeuvring of materials and components for installation and maintenance is required.
Harken Industrial said: “The Harken PowerSeat is designed for use anywhere that rope access is possible. It is ideal for industrial maintenance, architectural and construction work, wind turbine and offshore constructions, engineering inspections, marine and rigging, and in search and rescue. Using the Harken PowerSeat makes it possible to work in comfort for extended periods and provides up to a 50-percent boost to productivity, while saving substantially on operational costs and wages”.
The Access & Rescue School are pleased to be working with the Harken Industrial team, who design and manufacture a range of high end material handling and access apparatus. Harken Industrial products are also available to purchase from the Access & Rescue School.
