Gemini Taxis, based in Exeter, organised a host of activities to raise money for the charity.
This includes a themed event during the World Cup in June-July of this year when 5p from every fare was donated during this period to Devon Air Ambulance.
Numerous local businesses from hotels to pubs and restaurants joined in, resulting in a few winning the £500 incentive to the company that booked the most taxis.
An inter-taxi company bowling match was also organised, and staff from both Capital and Gemini taxis attended. Gemini won. The match raised a total of around £340. Fundraising director for Devon Air Ambulance, Caroline Creer, collected the sizeable cheque of £1,021.20 from Gemini Taxis and said thank you to all involved.
