It’s that time of year again so get your diary out and make a date for the MID DEVON SHOW which will be held at the wonderfully scenic venue of Knightshayes/Chettiscombe, Tiverton.
As ever we will have a large livestock entry of Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Pygmy Goats, Cavies, Heavy Horses and, all being well, poultry and this is supplemented by the On Farm Demonstrations, which this year tackle Grassland Management.
In the Country side Area we will have Falconry, Gun Dogs and the Devon Wild Fowlers as well as an Exmoor Pony display, a Fly Casting demonstration and the ever popular Ferret Racing and Owls R-us.
Headlining in the main ring will be MotoStunts International Stunt team who are supported by the Pony Club games, Private Driving, the Young Farmers competition and then later in the day the Vintage Tractor Parade and then mid-afternoon the Grand Parade of Livestock.
In the Music and Dance pavilion we will have Barracuda, Stay Lucky and Sun Dogs playing as well as the soprano, Clare Lash Williams, the Wyndham Male Voice Choir and the Exeter Morris Men.
And if that’s not enough we have well over 250 Trade Stands, the Gardening Club exhibition, the PD Hook Food Marquee and are new Magpie marquee housing amongst other delights part of the Poppy display first featured at Devon County Show.
