Exeter City is delighted to be hosting Exeter Comedy Grove at St James Park on Friday March 16.
Comedy Groves feature the very best in live comedy from comedians that have performed at some of the biggest comedy clubs in this country and abroad.
On the bill for Friday, March 16 is Steve Day, Wayne the Weird and headliner Richard K, with the evening hosted by MC Richard James.
Richard James is a stand up comedian from Devon and member of the Comedy Avengers. Described as being 'confident on stage' with 'quick wit and hilarious anecdotes'.
Opening the event is Steve Day, the stand-up circuit's only deaf comedian. If there is another one, he hasn't heard! A vibrant and energetic performer, Steve utilises his deafness to produce tears of laughter from his audience, he has been described as: "Warm, funny, frank and thought-provoking" by the Scotsman.
Your second performer for the night is Wayne the Weird, an outrageous comedian and magician. A Funhouse Comedy review stated: "Bamboozling and fascinating the audience with trickery, his balance of comedy, magic and banter is the recipe for his success."
Headlining is Richard K, who is described as Anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest. He has played at the Comedy Store, the Bearcat and downstairs at The Kings Head in addition to TV's Take The Mike and a cameo on Jimmy Carr's Xmas DVD. A Funhouse Comedy review said: "His humorous stories and factual tales are told with a ‘twinkle in the eyes’ and leave his audiences crying with laughter."
