Exeter City recently held their annual sponsors 'Christmas Get Together' as a fundraising event for local charity Hospiscare, with the Mercure Southgate Hotel providing the venue. The hosts put on a wonderful evening with carols from the Hospiscare Choir, mulled wine and mince pies all ensuring the Christmas spirit is now well and truly started. With the hotel looking wonderfully festive and the warm and cosy environment adding to the convivial atmosphere, it was undoubtedly a splendid evening amongst great friends and rounded off by the group raising £300 for Hospiscare. Exeter City's Business Development Manager, Bruce Henderson, said: 'We are extremely grateful to the Mercure Southgate Hotel for hosting such a lovely festive event, and to the Hospiscare choir for performing so brilliantly. 'Our sponsors, volunteers and friends mean everything to the club and are hugely valued, so it was really nice to be able to thank them and for us all to be together in such a pleasant way. It was also gratifying to raise funds for Hospiscare, so in every way it was three points gained.'
