This training course will teach you, over two days, how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues. As a Mental Health First Aider you can prevent someone from hurting themselves, or others, and help someone recover faster by making sure they receive appropriate professional support.

New dates released for the next training course in Exeter: 17th and 18th March 2016, 9am - 5pm
Price: £240 per person which includes:  a comprehensive reference manual and a workbook worth £25, certificate of attendance, all materials and refreshments (lunch is not included). Please note that this course is valued at £300 per person by MHFA England.

You may want to improve your skills in:
-      Non judgemental listening skills;
-     Using responses that encourage others to talk and open up;
-     Methods used to talk someone who may have suicidal thoughts;
-    Ways to help someone having a panic attack;
-   Skills in recognising symptoms of depression and anxiety.

If you feel like any of the above may be missing from your ‘day to day toolbox’ as a manager or a practitioner, find out more about the next training in Mental Health First Aid which is taking place in Exeter in March 2016.
