an integral part of the ELF Community Support Programme, launched in May 2013. Over the next 2 years Pavey Group will make a significant contribution towards the operating costs of the transport service.

Often treatment for blood related conditions can be complex and visits to the Haematology Centre at the RD&E Hospital can be on a regular or infrequent basis, making NHS transport difficult to access. Covering all of Devon, the ELF drivers will collect patients from, and return them to, their homes, in 1 of 3 professionally presented and liveried vehicles FREE of charge. In addition, ELF can also transport haematology patients to Bristol and further afield.

In the first 8 months over 2,000 journeys were organised and carried out. It is anticipated that going forward, over 4,000 journeys will be made annually, which is a considerable commitment and undertaking by the charity.
