Tiverton’s Night Market, Electric Nights Streetfood, promises another evening of quality food and musical talent. September 1st’s event is themed ‘Super September’ and offers superhero themed entertainment with 60’s and folk music.

There will be beer, cider and gin bars as well as sumptuous meals from food producers from across the South West including gourmet burgers, pizza, a vegan stall and sweet treats. In addition to the food stalls, the event offers a range of craft stalls including local art, woodwork, jewellery and other handcrafted goods.

This month features special guests Spiderman and Ironman, with live music from local bands The Dilly Boys and Stay Lucky. Local groups ‘Willow Tree Theatre Company’ and ‘Tiverton Amateur Operatic Society’ will be performing extracts from their upcoming shows and Tiverton’s cheerleading group ‘Cheer Dance’ will demonstrate some of their dance routines. Plus, there is a face-painter, children’s ride and pebble painting.

Zoë Lentell, Event Coordinator, said: “September’s event is the last of the Electric Nights Streetfood events for this year’s summer season. They will return for a Christmas special on 1 December as part of the town’s light switch-on event and dates for next year are to be announced shortly. Anyone interested in taking part in next year’s events – food and craft traders, town businesses, musicians and community groups – can contact electricnightsevents@gmail.com for more information”.

Electric Nights Streetfood takes place on Saturday, 1 September from 5pm to 9pm at Tiverton Pannier Market. The event is free to enter
