An early evening departure has been added to the morning series and this gives greater flexibility when travelling to and from France, allowing the business traveller to be there and back in a day.

There are also more seats on the Dublin route from today as Flybe has started using its larger 118-seat Embraer 195 jet aircraft and the popular service now has another 480 seats per week.

Thousands passengers are expected to fly from Exeter Airport over the Easter period and many will be spending time with family and friends who have flown in from around the UK and the rest of Europe.

Although the brighter weather is with us passengers are getting away to warmer climes with Flybe to the Algarve with the enhanced timetable now offering three flights a week.  The Exeter-based airline also has four flights a week to the Spanish airports at Alicante and Malaga.

The package holiday flights with Thomson to Cyprus, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife are seeing more early season bookings than in recent years but late bargains can still be found on Majorca for passengers departing this weekend.

Matt Roach, Exeter Airport’s managing director said: “We are very pleased to see increased bookings on all our routes for our busiest period of the year so far, with approximately 14,000 passengers using the airport in the next seven days. The take up for Flybe’s new twice daily flights to Paris is very encouraging but our passengers are booking a wide range of holidays at this time of the year from the Canary Islands to the Isles of Scilly.”

As well as the increased Paris service, business and leisure passengers will also benefit from Flybe’s new Amsterdam schedule which offers an extra Sunday evening service on the route.
