A charity that places children from around the UK for adoption with families in Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, is to benefit from over £7,000 worth of free annual memberships to Devon’s favourite family attraction.

Devon’s Crealy, a one hundred acre family adventure park located just outside Exeter, has donated 138 annual memberships to Families for Children, an adoption agency and registered charity whose head office is based at Buckfastleigh, Devon.

Rod Pearson, Devon’s Crealy Managing Director explains:

“Over the past three years, Crealy has donated the equivalent of £35,000 in free annual memberships to children’s charities and for 2012 we have chosen Families for Children as our charity of the year.”

“The charity places between 30 and 40 children with loving families throughout the region every year and we hope the free annual memberships will allow the families that come into contact with Families for Children, to benefit from even more quality time together. We look forward to seeing lots of smiley faces - both children and grown ups alike! Whether it’s running around our indoor play areas, or zooming down the Vortex, the families have lots of fun and adventures to enjoy when they visit Crealy.”

In addition to the annual memberships, Crealy will also be working with Allison Colton, Familes for Children’s Fundraising & Publicity Co-ordinator, and her team to help support and host fundraising events at the award winning attraction.

Crealy’s management team is working closely with the charity to devise a list of events to ensure the charity, and its members, benefit fully from the partnership.

Allison Colton comments:

“Everyone at Families for Children are delighted to be have selected as Devon’s Crealy Charity of the Year.  As well as the very generous gift of free annual passes, Crealy will help us to raise our profile in the local area.  It will be amazing if another child is given the chance to find their adoptive family through the joint efforts of Crealy and Families for Children.  It is also very exciting for us to be able to use the venue for our fundraising events, the first being ‘An Evening With’ - this will be with two of our wonderful patrons Judi Spiers and Caroline Quentin.  This is going to be a wonderful partnership between two agencies who both put families and fun first!”
