The Devon County Show is planning a special day out for three local couples on Show Friday (May 18) who were married on May 19, in celebration of the Royal wedding.

The county’s largest three day event, held on May 17-19 at Westpoint showground, Exeter, wants to hear from couples who tied the knot on the same date as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in years gone by.

The VIP day will include entry to the Show, all day access to the Members Pavilion and the main arena grandstand, and a photograph from the Show’s official photographer.

“We want to share some wedding anniversary happiness with couples who will be sharing their special date with the Royal couple,” added Ollie Allen.

Couples who were married on May 19 are invited to email the Show with their details and put ‘Royal Wedding’ in the subject lineinfo@dcshow.org.

“All we ask from those who enter this fantastic competition is to provide proof of marriage, a wedding photo and something from their wedding day if they can.”

Winners will be able to enjoy a relaxed day out at Devon’s celebration of rural life which will be packed with livestock and equine competitions, a vast array of food and drink, entertainment in the main arena with the Monster Trucks, country life displays, the children’s farm, the new ocean discovery zone, crafts and gardens and shopping.
