Leading South West craft ale producer Dartmoor Brewery has signalled its commitment to public safety on Dartmoor with a new sponsorship agreement with the Dartmoor Rescue Group.

The Dartmoor Rescue Group is comprised of four independent teams based around the moor at Okehampton, Ashburton, Tavistock and Plymouth.  In addition to moorland rescues, coming to the aid of walkers and other moor users, the group’s volunteers provide a 24/7 service every day of the year to assist Devon and Cornwall Police throughout the force area.  Search and rescue operations encompass Moorland rescues, flooding response, search for vulnerable persons, Alzheimer’s sufferers, despondent persons and missing children (DRG).

Dartmoor Brewery will be making a donation for every pint sold on the moor of their newly-relaunched Dartmoor IPA.

Richard Smith, Managing Director at Dartmoor Brewery, commented:  “We are passionate about Dartmoor, and the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team do an amazing job of keeping people safe on the moors, often in the most extreme conditions. Our new sponsorship deal is a great way for us to put a little back into Dartmoor, our home patch.”.

Dartmoor Brewery is the highest brewery in England, and produces the award winning Jail Ale, Legend, Dartmoor IPA and seasonal beers.
