At the Express and Echo Business Awards last week, Crealy Great Adventure Parks were thrilled to receive the awards for the Best Tourism and the Best Family Business.
Chris Down, the CEO, collected the award and commented on the commitment that Crealy has towards it’s guests and its members of staff. It was only last year that Crealy received the Silver Investors in People Award – the only UK attraction to do so.
Crealy Great Adventure Park was created 22 years ago by Chris Down’s sister, Angela Wright. It has seen rapid and continuous growth since then. An investment of £4.5 million has been spent maintaining and improving the park, resulting in 60 attractions and now the new Crealy Meadows Camping and Caravan Park.
As well as the more traditional farm animals, Crealy now has more exotic species such as wallabies, emus and meerkats. The baby meerkats that arrived this spring have delighted thousands of visitors over the last couple of months.
A further £40,000 will be invested this year, bringing live shows from favourite children’s characters such as Bob the Builder, Fifi and the flower pots, and ZingZillas.
