CHIEFS MUST LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES - MOON

The 24-year-old prop could not hide his disappointment after the Chiefs slipped to yet another narrow defeat when they went down 27-23 to rivals Bath at Sandy Park last Saturday.

Back-to-back home defeats to Northampton Saints and Bath have left Rob Baxter's sitting in eighth position, some ten points adrift of fourth-placed Harlequins, who occupy the last of the four play-off berths.

With a trip to high-flying Saracens next on the agenda for the Devon club this Sunday (3.15pm), Moon knows it's vital he and his team-mates rediscover their winning formula as quickly as possible.

"The Bath result was really disappointing, especially coming so close again," he said. "To be honest, it's getting a bit boring. Right now everybody is a bit annoyed and we want to get back to how we were playing around Christmas time.

"We're getting into good positions with good momentum, but then we make a silly mistake, cough the ball up and that give the opposition the chance to exit and relieve the pressure.

"It's those little mistakes that are hurting us and we need to get on top of it sharpish. We have to keep fighting to push our way through the league and start winning games again."

Sunday's trip to the artificial surface at Allianz Park should provide another stern test for Devon's finest, but Moon insists the Chiefs will certainly be looking to address recent woes

"We need to go up there all guns blazing," he added. "We're hurting from the last few weeks, so we have to let them [Saracens] feel the full force of that hurt."
