The Networking Hub is planning to hold its second quarterly event in Exeter.
More than 50 people attended the launch of the free business-to-business networking group at the city's Basepoint centre on Matford Park.
Darren Rogers, Basepoint Exeter's centre manager, said: "We were thrilled to see such a good turnout. The event has been successful in other Basepoint centres so I am glad we have been able to emulate that success here in Exeter.
"Networking is really important for small businesses and events like this are a great way to meet other local business people."
