Fire Service instructors travelled from Cleveland FRS, North Yorkshire FRS and Avon FRS to join this extensive training which, in the course of a week taught them how to plan and deliver safe and effective breathing apparatus training. The delegates were taken through a number of practical exercises, theory based instruction, e-learning and assessments throughout the training program.

Feedback from the delegates has been universally positive and complimentary, with one delegate stating “A fantastic week, ran by brilliant staff – a credit to your service!” and another saying “Great course, great delivery and great support – I have enjoyed the entire week and learnt some new skills that I will use immediately I get back to my Service“.

Skills for Justice accredited Breathing Apparatus Instructor (BAi) Training

The Red One ‘Skills for Justice’ accredited BAI course trains personnel from Fire & Rescue Services to deliver safe, effective breathing apparatus training to colleagues.   This in-depth course teaches everything required to become a skilled and confident BA instructor.

Delivered through the DSFRS Academy Fire Behaviour School, the aim of this five  day course is to provide the candidate with all the necessary  to enable them to organize, manage and conduct all aspects of a Breathing Apparatus session. Delegates learn practically by managing their own exercises, where they receive feedback from course instructors and from the other course attendees; this allows the students to safely and confidently run an exercise of their own.
