The Devon County Show (22/23/24 May) combined with the long weekend and half term will result in high levels of traffic on the M5 and the A30. The B3148 road to the airport may also carry show traffic at certain times to ease the congestion at M5 junction 30.
Friday and Saturday mornings in particular are predicted to be busy at M5 junction 29 for the airport as passengers make their way to check-in for flights to France, Greece and Spain together with UK domestic destinations.
Richard Broadley, Exeter Airport’s commercial manager said: “We will as usual have a stand at the Devon County Show and we look forward to seeing people there, but our passengers departing on our flights should be aware of the extra traffic on the roads as they make their way to the airport.
“This week we have had the start of new services to Crete and Tunisia, so this has already been a busy, period and over the Bank Holiday Weekend we anticipate up to 15,000 people using the airport on inbound and outbound flights.
