Temporary protective hoarding is about to be placed around Epsom’s historic clock tower and the old planters in the Market Place have been removed in preparation for the major refurbishment of the Market Place starting next week (Monday 18th February).
It has taken far far more time than I would have wanted, but I am writing to let you know that the promise made by Southern Rail at the start of its franchise to introduce Oyster and Contactless Cards to Epsom and a group of stations in Hertfordshire is finally going to happen.
At the Strategy & Resources Committee meeting last night, councillors voted to back the SWR (South Western Railway) bid to deliver step and obstacle free access for Stoneleigh Station.
As you are aware we carried out some work to upgrade our gas network in Temple Road, Epsom earlier this year. We need to return during the school summer holiday to upgrade our network at the junction of Temple Road and Chase Road. Our contractor KLT Construction will undertake this work on our behalf.
