First time there for lunch, would go again, so must have been good.

The do a home prepared chicken dish. It like chicken kiev, but with nuts and other herbs and of course the carlin butter, but it was excellent.

Authentic Spanish cooking at its best. We ordered a paella for 6for a family celebration. It was cooked freshly for us and well worth the wait. We were even offered,in true Spanish style, the scrapings of the pan(the best part). A very drinkable Rioja accompanied it and the service was both friendly and professional. Definitely worth a visit

A truly wonderful gem among so many imitations. I would say traditional Spanish cuisine so don't expect silly foam and other nonsense. And the prices won't get you foaming at the mouth either. You come here for quality freshly cooked food so it's not instant, so if you haven't learnt by now that good things are worth waiting for then this is a very good place to start! Carlos welcomes all with genuine Galician warmth and I want to thank him and all the family. Evening 3 course meal for 2 from set menu and a bottle of house white is under £50 including a tip that is richly deserved. No service charges here, just genuine people and genuine food! Viva El Rincon

We have been living in Epsom Downs for over 20 years and El Rincon's continues to be our favourite restaurant. This is not a fast food outlet. You go here for the complete dining experience. Yes when its busy, sometimes you have to wait, but the waiting is well worth it and your table is yours for the entire evening. In reading some of the other critical reviews, it appears that a small number of people find the service slow? well boo hoo, if you want serving two minutes after you arrive, go to MacDonald's. Perhaps you'll find their salt filled burgers more to your taste. However, if you want something just that little bit special, give El Rincon's a try, I promise, you will not be disappointed. (Try the Garlic & Cream Prawns for starters.) If I have any criticism at all, it would the menu. They could do with changing it occasionally, or perhaps offering 'specials'. If your on a budget, then stay away, this is not the restaurant for you. Basic meals are priced about average, but add on wine, dessert, coffee etc... don't expect much change out of £100. Even so, you'll need to book, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. (PS. Paella to die for!!!)

A table for 2 turned into a table for 4, but that was not a problem to the friendly waiter. He was attentive to our group and nothing was too much trouble for him. I was there with 2 visually impaired people, who felt spoilt by the attention they received.
The food was delightful, flavoursome and the portions were of a great size.We were a noisy group and on preparing to leave the restaurant, I apologised for our noise and the disruption we coursed, the waiter told us there was no need to apologise and that we were all welcome back anytime.

A genuine warm welcome on arrival. Shown to table. If you want a drink, the choice is yours and you are not sat in the bar forcing you to have a drink prior to your meal. Food and variety delicious - it is hard to know what to eat; service excellent, staff all friendly, atmosphere is really nice. You are not rushed and can enjoy a leisurely meal. We are looking forward to our visit on 25 November...

Anyone living locally or from further afield should try El Rincon. The food is absolutely delicious with wonderful fresh tapas, generous paella plus lots of other choice including some lovely steak and chicken dishes. The wine list is interesting and affordable and the owners and staff really welcoming.

The meal was delicious. The house wine was perfect, the bread fresh and soft and the entré delightful. The co-owner who served us was attentive but not intrusive. All at a reasonable price. I wish I lived closer so that I could repeat the experience.

An established family run restaurant with great food and service. Would recommend it highly, but hope the owners read this review and do something about the bread - a minor detail, I know, but needs to be addressed!

Train delay after Epson Downs racing left us hanging around and we took a walk and fund this place, which serves good food and has goo service.
Serves a wide range of Spanish favourites which we enjoyed along with a nice glass or 2 of Spanish red wine.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

It is very popular and I love to try the tapas but spouse goes with the three course menu so I just have three. It is full of bustle and happy people enjoying their food, the staff are amazing, remembering regulars and always offering a warm welcome. This was the z first place I had tap water bottled from the fridge. It is easy to park as there's a free car park opposite the station. Book for weekend and occasions, they do a reasonably priced Christmas meal for groups too.

Having not been in the know when it comes to Spanish food in general, I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment. The service was excellent and the paella fresh and flavoursome

I love this restaurant and regularly come here with my boyfriend.
Great atmosphere and each time we have been the food has proved to be fantastic - the tapas is excellent and the paella is certainly one of the best I have ever had. I recently went to a hotel in Spain and the paella didn't even come close to El Rincon's!.
The staff are also very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a spot of tasty, authentic Spanish food!

We went on the off chance, were given an excellent table, set price menu, attentive staff. Three courses later, we rolled out again, replete. What more could you ask for on a Thursday night?

This is a very popular restaurant & its way to see why. Our waiter was very welcoming & friendly. The food was excellent & one of the best tapas restaurants we have been to in recent times. There was a bit of a wait with a lot of customers arriving at the same time & only two waiters but that was fine for us. the food was tasty. I would recommend this place to others for an enjoyable evening.

Have been here before but this ordered the tapas which was fantastic. Cousins together were given time to catch up and enjoy the food without being hassled. The house wine was lovely too and inexpensive. Don't get me started on the homemade desserts....they are seriously delicious. Best Spanish restaurant around...ps top tip if ordering tapas call ahead. We ordered at 7 & had the table at 8. The food arrived together with the paella

I have been in Epsom all my life and didn't even clock this restaurant although it has been here for 22 years. Run as a family business, it is friendly and the service here was brilliant. We had paella and certainly weren't dissapointed. Five star. Will definitely be going again.

Been going here for fifteen years now. Still a great meal every time. Last visit was last minute on Saturday night. Place was packed. Warned about delay for kitchen. Had a drink. As usual, food was worth the wait. Great staff. Not ideal for youngsters hoping to impress their first date. Great for a really authentic meal out.
