Wow! Not only did we experience the best steaks of our lives, we experienced the best service of all time! Our waiter Kay, went above and beyond. He interacted with us in a lovely friendly manner whilst remaining professional. He explained the types of steaks and made a spot on recommendation. To top off an amazing night, we had a lovely surprise when the bill came. I will definitely recommend this hidden gem to others and will absolutely be returning! Bravo!

First time I have been to try the steaks many of my friends keep telling me about. From the moment we arrived we were looked after brilliantly by Marie and her team. I had the rib-eye and my partner the burger and they were both amazing, my steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you for a wonderful evening I will be back very soon.

My wife and I enjoyed an evening in the two bulls for a steak. The meat was great and well cooked to order with service to march.
For a really great steak this is the place but don't expect fine dining this is basic food but well done.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The steak is amazing. I always order the rump but it is just like fillet steak.
Never had a bad meal here.Usually go for lunch and the set menu is very good value for money. Think they are only open Thursday to Sunday.

First time visit to this pub steakhouse. Extremely welcoming with a nice, at times quite loud & busy, atmosphere. Good all round mix of customers. We felt comfortable there from the moment we came in.
The staff, & our waiter in particular, was really friendly, helpful & attentive but not intrusive.
The food was excellent. If you want to cap the cost you can choose from their set menu, which had really good options or you can obviously just pick from the main menu. We just picked from the main menu, 3 courses each. The steaks for our main were really excellent, cooked exactly to order - my wife had the 6oz fillet & I had the ribeye both with chunky chips & salad & your choice of sauce.
The cost wasn't excessive for the quality & quantity with drinks...maybe £15 pricier than we might spend at say a Harvester...but it was well worth it!
I think the only negative comment was that parking was pretty limited but that's hardly the restaurant's fault & it was a Saturday night.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the food & our night & will most definitely be coming back!

Visited 'Two Bulls' 3 times in a short time and have been very impressed with the quality and variety of the steaks. Choice of 21 day aged steaks, 28 and 45 day dry-aged beef. I don't normally eat deserts but I do now after trying the Roasted Peanut Banoffee Pie and the 1/4 pint Guinness Chocolate Pot. On top of the quality of the food, I found the service first class. Service with a smile thanks Anna. Well worth checking out the menu on their site because there is a lot more than just steaks. I'm looking forward to trying the starters next time.

Visited the Pizzeria down stairs at the Tally Ho. Great pizza and pleasant service, but as we finished we were given the bill no offer of coffee and this was not late. We felt very rushed and would not return due to this. I feel they have missed a trick here, there loss.

Melt in the mouth steaks. My rump steak was so thick and tender that I thought that they had given me a fillet steak by mistake! Check out their website for great lunch time meal deals.
Friendly efficient staff with out being over attentive in an Edwardian pub that has been tastefully refurbished and best of all just round the corner from my house.

Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the charcoal grill providing a wonderful smoky flavour. The £9 lunch specials are such great value for money, I can't believe it wasn't busier when we visited! It's also a nice touch that the sauces to compliment the steaks don't come at an extra charge. The Restaurant Manager is lovely and our overall customer service experience was fantastic, I would highly recommend a visit here to anyone and I will definitely be returning soon!

My wife and I arrived at twelve o'clock, expecting lunch and had the door opened by a very warm and welcoming waitress. We were shown to our table and treated to a nicely balanced and good value lunch menu. The evening dishes were also available but how could you pass up a sirloin steak for nine pounds?
The waitress took our order and before we raised we'd been waiting, the food arrived. If I am picky, I'd say the steaks were ever so slightly over cooked, but to such a small amount, they remained delicious.
We ordered a cheeky pint with our lunch, well, it was three days to Christmas, and some home made slaw. The slaw lacked a little crunch for me, and were probably too creamy, to feel healthy, but again, I am picking holes.
Given the success of the mains, we ventured towards a desert. And again, they were lovely. The chocolate pot was very rich, but that is what I expected, and the ice cream was strong with sea salt, which, I adore. A good desert.
I am tempted to return for athe porterhouse!
All in all, it was a nice lunch, a nice venue and a nice atmosphere. My only criticism would be the service did slow as the restaurant filled. Understandable, but still avoidable. Good restaurant and I would return.

Went here for staff xmas party and first impressions were of a bit of a spit n sawdust type place, but fairly welcoming. Menus were already on the table and the first thing that struck me was the price of the steaks!! Not what i would call value for money unless the were sensational. The choice was limited on starters and were ok at best, I ordered olives and I've had better from a supermarket selection. Then the main reason for going to a steak house was the steak. I ordered the 14oz rump medium rare. When it arrived it was in fact two hunks of beef, not one nicely cut steak. The first one was cooked more or less to what i had ordered but the second was tough, chewy and still very rare in the middle. I don't think you can cook steaks to the requirement of diners if its a great thick thing! This steak(s) were £22 which i have to say for the area and the quality and the dining experience is vastly over priced. I have eaten far better quality steaks in other 'pubs' and not paid anywhere near that price.
I didn't choose a dessert as again the selection was limited so had an esspresso. This arrived warm and was not a good coffee.Staff were good and attentive although the welsh chap who served us i thought a bit over familiar and ocassionally a bit patronising!
Not a place I would fequent again due to the high cost for an averagely cooked and tasting steak. Not sure why some give it a 5* rating, i presume that they've not eaten a decent steak before!!!?

We visited the Two Bulls today and had a superb lunch. The food was excellent, my steak was perfectly cooked and everyone commented on how good the food was. Our waiter was polite friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, we really couldn't have asked for better. Really good value for money too. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

My work colleague has been going on about how good this place is in Hastings so as we were near there other location I had to stop off and see what all the fuss was about...
we arrived and were soon seated when we looked at the lunch time offer how could you say no, so with a couple of steaks ordered we enjoyed some olives for a starter.
We head the bell ring and the food was soon in front of us and it all looked very good until we tried it, now I know what all the fuss is about the steak was really good and so tasty plus the chunky chips were as my nan used to cook, right now I just need to come up with a few excuses to come more often as it's a little way away, not that a excuse is needed....

My partner and I visited the Two Bulls last Friday evening.
The restaurant was fairly busy with most tables occupied, which was a good sign. We were shown straight to our table, even though we were a little early.
All the staff appeared very friendly, polite and happy to be at work.
After pre- dinner drinks, we decided on the three course meal with wine for £60 option.
We both had the smoked Mackerel pate and toast to start and this was plentiful and enjoyable.
I had the 8oz Sirloin steak (but added a couple more ounces for £2) and my partner had the 6oz Fillet steak. Both steaks were really tasty and were cooked to perfection. The hand cut chips and green peppercorn sauce complimented the meal perfectly.
For dessert, my partner had the roasted peanut Banoffe pie and I the cheese board and a glass of Port (£4).
The only minor criticism was that there was too much cream on the Banoffe pie and too little cheese on the cheese board, but of course this is just a personal opinion and in no way detracted from a really enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings with really friendly and attentive staff.

We visited here for the first time and wow. We were looking for somewhere we could have a rare date night with no children and wanted a relaxed atmosphere, close to home but good food.
This place ticked it all us. We both had the fillet steak and it was amazing. Iv never ever had steak like it. The sides were huge, the meal size for us was exactly the right amount, any more and it would have gone to waste. The pudding sizes are massive too!! Very reasonable prices.. will 100% be coming back

Went for a pre holiday meal here with wifey and was not disappointed in any way. A warm welcome right from the off. Asked to change tables as we found the bench seat was a little too high and the chair opposite a little too low for our liking and this was no problem at all. Clean and pleasant surroundings and very attentive staff. Ordered drinks and mains. Mains arrived and without prompting we were told that the chef was doing an extra steak for wifey as hers was slightly underweight. When that arrived it was almost the same size as the original one so I got to try hers too.
Wifey had a 6oz 21 day aged filet and I went for a 10oz 45 day aged sirloin, both were tender and done to perfection (as was the extra one we got). I can recommend the 45 day aged steak as it was just melt in the mouth and full of flavour (done med/rare just how I like it).
Nice leafy side salad and lovely chips (which you can ask for more of without charge). I opted for the garlic butter sauce and wifey the peppercorn (I was not allowed the stilton one :-( ). Also had a side of steak Diane mushrooms which were beautiful.
Shared a dessert of New York style cheesecake which was home made and has the most solid and filling base I think I have ever encountered. Delicious!.
All in all an excellent meal and lovely staff. Will be taking some friends here soon so they can experience it as well. Most definitely will be back.
