Writing as a vegan, this place is a real treat! I visited Eastbourne from London and was delighted to discover this gem of vegan pastry deliciousness. Not everything is vegan, but there is a genuine *choice* of different options. Definitely on the pricier side, but sometimes needs must. I hope the store continues to expand its vegan range.

The cinnamon buns and the brownie were absolutely amazing—rich, fresh, and full of flavor. Paired with a really good cup of coffee, it made for the perfect treat. Definitely worth a visit if you’ve got a sweet tooth!

The sausage rolls at To The Rise are delicious, you can tell they’re made with quality ingredients. I got mine heated up to take away, unfortunately (partly due to the great quality thick sausage) it wasn’t very hot throughout. Overall though, a great experience.

Lovely bakery in Eastbourne. When you pass the shop just the smell is luring 😋 love the bread, usually do not like bread in UK but luckily I find this place 😍 and pastries are yummy!

I popped into To The Rise Bakery in Eastbourne and was really impressed. It’s a tiny shop, but the staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I had a ham and cheese toastie on their sourdough, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with a great tangy flavour. I also picked up a loaf to take home, and it stayed fresh for days. Their cakes looked amazing too, so I grabbed one and wasn’t disappointed! Everything is made with care, and you can really taste the difference. Highly recommend!

Don't know Brighton well, just scouting for a nice bakery on a Sunday morning and bumped into this gem. A walk-in bakers, but also a little cosy cafe. Artisan is an over-used word but this place fits it, they're clearly passionate about high quality food. Not cheap, of course, but a pretty delicious sourdough loaf for brek was the end result.

Great pastry and coffee stop. Had the cheese/ marmite cross, coffee/ chocolate croissant and my wife had the brie and onion toastie. Delicious! Great playlist as well!
