The BIG Futures Show: East Sussex’s biggest careers & employability showcase

Taking place in April each year, The BIG Futures Show takes place as the largest employability, skills and jobs event in East Sussex, drawing together students, parents, educators, jobseekers and businesses under one roof.

Organised by Eastbourne Education Business Partnership (EBP) in association with Eastbourne Borough Council, the Show plays a vital role in bridging the gap between education and employment across Eastbourne and the wider region.

The next event is scheduled for Tuesday 28 April 2026, from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm at Eastbourne Sports Park.

More than 75 exhibitors will be present, offering interactive stands, career advice, training pathways and real job and apprenticeship opportunities in the Job Seekers Corner.

Who should attend & what you can expect

  • Schools from across East Sussex with Students aged 14+

  • Students aged 14+, along with their parents and carers, are encouraged to attend to explore potential paths, and speak directly with employers

  • Local employers and training providers get a unique chance to engage with over 1,500 students and jobseekers, building awareness and recruitment pipelines.

  • Jobseekers are welcome too — the Show’s exhibitors offer guidance on CV writing, interview techniques, and direct access to hiring organisations.

Showcasing local opportunities

The BIG Futures Show aligns with national careers strategy goals and the Gatsby Benchmarks, embedding best practices in career guidance and work-related learning.

It also builds on EEBP’s decades long commitment to support youth employability across East Sussex.

For schools, the event includes pre- and post-visit resources to help teachers and students make the most of the experience.

Day visitors do not need to pre-book; admission is £3 (Free for jobseekers thanks to sponsorship).

Whether you’re a student looking ahead, a parent guiding a young person’s journey, looking for your next employment opportunity - or an employer wanting to connect with local talent — The BIG Futures Show is a must attend event for inspiring new possibilities and forging career pathways.
