The best ice cream parlor in town, possibly the universe. David is an absolute joy he is the most friendly person I have ever met, all his recommendations for his different flavours of ice cream are superb. Especially his own recipe, home made soft vanilla is perfect. It should be 10 stars instead of 5.

Absolutely smashing ice cream parlour, with a variety of flavours to suit your tastes buds, set just off the sea front, a few seats outside for the warmer weather, the owner is an old school gentleman who is polite, warm and welcoming and will always share a local story or two, an old school business with all the beauty of old school ethics. A must visit to remember Eastbourne with a sweet tooth.

Found after a bracing walk and much stone throwing, easy to miss if you're not careful! Wonderful choice of flavours with such friendly service despite kids kissing the display cabinets (sorry!) which were cleaned as soon as we left! Jaffa ice cream an absolute MUST!!

I have been visiting here since I was a child and now take my children. The ice cream is incredibly good quality. David, the owner, is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Forget all of the other ice cream places in Eastbourne - Thayers is the best!

Mr 'Thayer' is a very kind and cheerful man who always makes you feel very welcome. He has loads of different flavours, our favourite being the one made with Jersey cows milk. So much nicer than Mr Whippys! It is always a treat for our family to go to Thayers.
