Sussex Cancer Fund – Enhancing Cancer Care in Sussex

Founded in 1981, the Sussex Cancer Fund is a hospital-based charity that works alongside NHS teams to improve cancer treatment facilities across the region. From rebuilding cancer units to funding frontline equipment and pioneering research, every donation supports direct patient care.

In recent years, the Fund has helped rebuild and refurbish the Sussex Cancer Centre, and provided hospitals across Sussex with specialist items including chemotherapy chairs, scanners and treatment essentials. Their goal is to create a more supportive, comfortable and effective environment for those receiving cancer care.

Support includes:

  • Specialist chemotherapy chairs and diagnostic equipment

  • Cancer Centre refurbishment and clinical upgrades

  • Investment in advanced radiography techniques

  • Research into cancers including blood, brain, breast and bladder

  • New projects on HPV-related cancers and leukaemia

Over the past three years, the Sussex Cancer Fund has contributed over £1 million towards research projects and equipment. Their partnerships with clinical teams allow them to respond quickly and directly to patient needs, ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained.

Every contribution helps deliver hope and comfort to thousands of families across Sussex.
