Take a stroll around the lovely Marina.. All flat so easy to access. The boats are varied and there is a working fishing fleet too. Soon to be developed into an educational area I believe. There is a working lock system and far reaching views out to sea. Quite breathtaking!
The Marina boasts many cafés and restaurants that are suitable for all tastes and budgets. If you are lucky enough to be here on a summers day.. You will come back again! Or even maybe move to this fantastic place! I did that!

On a bright day it's a nice place to walk around. Some nice restaurants with outside tables, boats to look at and you can go for a boat ride around the harbour. If you're lucky you'll get to see the lock open (it happens about every 20 minutes).

Europes largest marina with 700 pleasure boat moorings plus a fishing fleet and a lifeboat provides a lot of activity as a backdrop to the 'Waterside' quay with its collection of restaurants and cafes to provide a pleasant place to sit in the sun and enjoy whatever takes your fancy. Choice ranges from excellent quality non chain restaurants though high end deli / bakery coffee shop through to fish and chips or simple sandwich cafe. Before or afterwards take a walk round the various mooring basins, see the locking operations for boats arriving from the sea and enjoy the varied architecture. BTW as a resident in the harbour I can also add its a great place to live too!!

See the different types of boats and yachts berthed at the marina. Lots to see, with a good walk around the marina and cafes and shops in the area too.

I live nearby and visit here often. It's great sitting having a meal or coffee whilst watching the boats come and go in the marina. In the summer months there is a boat available to take people around the harbour. For the more adventurous there is a another faster boat which does trips to beachy head and the lighthouse. After morning coffee here the Dotto train is available for a trip into town along the seafront.

We always go to Sovereign Harbour. My little girl always tries to count the fish and feed the seagulls. There's always so many things to do there. It was amazing when we saw a seal at the locks. It's always great to watch the boats going in and out of the locks. Never tire of the place.

You can enjoy something to eat, have a lovely walk around harbour and there are also an assortment of shops to browse. The bigger shops are not around the harbour, just a short stroll away.

Living locally we frequently visit the harbour, where we never fail to get that holiday feeling, whatever the weather! Relaxing to walk along looking at the boats, plenty of variety of places to eat and drink, sitting outside (weather permitting) watching the world and boats go by is wonderful, and when the sun shines you could be on the Med! One of our favourite places to be!

This is a great amenity for Eastbourne and worth visiting when you come to the town. A walk around the harbour is good to do, as is the boat trip that you can get from here. Visit the nearby retail park and have food or drinks in one of the many restaurants. They are all good!

Theres lots to see, eat, shop and just people watch! its a lovely place to visit on a sunny day, can be miserable when its windy and raining. The yatchs are lovely and there are so many to see. If you walk around the harbour you can watch the boats go through the locks which is great for children to see. Its ok for wheelchairs and strollers.

Even if you have left your yacht at home the walk from Eastbourne along the promenade is well worth it. Plenty of good resting, eating and drinking establishments in the harbour.

All looking a little tired. I understand the marina is to be developed which is good news. It's in a good area with bags of potential-at the moment just a few restaurants and a Harvester and places to buy boats. When it has a facelift it will be a banging place.

Lots to see and enjoy just walking round the area. Boat rides, lots of different places to have a meal and drinks. Very nice shops to browse and collect souvenirs. Or just watching the boats coming and going. Lovely day out.

I love the sea and boats so wherever I am in the country a marina or harbour is a magnate and my wife is dragged along to see whatever is on offer. There are several OK restaurants and the usual array of shops and I drop in if we need to go shopping near by but Brighton, just down the coast is far superior.

On an Sunny autumnal day the perfect setting to dine al fresco at the waterside. Good choice of restaurants with extensive menus. Time to sit and watch the world go by. A very good shop to walk around containing a good selection of unusual quality gift ideas. Free parking.

Walking around the marina harbour is a joy. The variety of boats is so interesting. We go onto the beach and look out at people sailing, wind-surfing, surf-kiting, jet-skiing, kayaking etc and then walk around to the lock gates and see the lock mechanism working and the people and boats passing through. The variety of cafes and restaurants means that there is something for everyone. We particularly like De-Lito's with great food, great service and value for money.

Lovely ambience around the harbour. It was a beautiful day when we were there so we did a lovely circular walk around the harbour. There is a very small selection of shops, nothing much to write home about but to be honest we didn't go there to shop. Glad we visited and would recommend going there.
