Great place for a stroll and a bite to eat. Martello towers on the coast. You can see across to Hastings in the east. Lots of boats to look at and a wide selection of restaurants to chose from....and reasonably priced all things considered!

The marina itself is a great place just to mooch, look at the many boats in the numerous harbours and get something to eat and drink in the many watering holes and eateries.
Just round the corner you have, for the time being, a retail park with some well known stores there and a cinema.

Lovely Marina outside the main town. Some shops and choice of restaurants. We ate in a Spanish type restarant first day, and a very nice Italian next day.

The harbour has walks on flat even paved ground, easy to access for all. Shops and restaurants, cinema and a gym as well as lots of places to walk and sit and pass the time watching the boats come and go through the locks.

Love going here walking distance for us. There is a Thai restaurant. Harvester, simply Italian, Ganges, sports bar, day time cafe dilietos, and seasons. You can also take a boat trip round the harbour or out to the lighthouses.

Sovereign Harbour is also mercifully free of the horrendous, horrible and traffic-awful downtown Eastbourne, especially at this time of year. It is an area of outstanding interest, with its four gorgeous residential harbours all linked by bridges and walkways skirting each houbour. If you like a walk there there is a terrific way to get from here to Eastbourne 2 miles away or Pevensey Bay, both along the seafront.Sovereign Harbour restaurants are wonderful, especially Simply Italian. The sad thing about this wonderful area which is part of Eastbourne, in Eastbourne's Sovereign Ward for electoral purposes, is that it does not appear at all as an attraction on Eastbourne Borough Council or East Sussex County Council websites as a nice place to visit. Nor does Sovereign Harbour feature, as it most certainly should, on their websites as the town's and region's leading tourist area.

This is a very nice harbour nestled away to the left hand side of Eastbourne . Plenty of choice for food & drink & a pleasant summers evening walk too. Would reccomend to anyone

Fabulous Waterfront and Harbour. Inner and outer harbour and two locks towards the outer sea. The restaurants mostly overlook the boats coming and going daily and the Thai Marina Restaurant is a MUST! Beautiful Thai food and Seasons a wonderful place for brunch and good Illy Coffee!

The marina itself was a nice setting but the surrounding apartments were boring. We had an OK meal at "The Harvester" but were shocked by all the seagulls flying onto the tables fighting over leftover food! They were huge, very noisy and aggressive. We then had to ask where the shops were only to be told it was a retail park nearby. (TK Maxx, Boots, Wilko.) Gunwharf Quay (Portsmouth) it isn't!

The Harbour is a good place to eat, have a drink or just wander around

There is a good selection of restaurants from a pub, Italian, American, Indian to a harvester restaurant. It has a nice chilled relaxed atmosphere.
You can walk around the marina looking at all the boats and watch the locks in operation.
