We had a lovely time walking through the harbour and port. We also enjoyed the shops and restaurants.

We walked down to the Harbour and were able to watch boats going into the loch to get into the marina. It is a very long walk but very interesting and you can catch a bus back to Eastbourne.

Four of us had a coffee outside one of the many restaurants. we then walked around the harbour and spent some time watching boats coming and going through the locks. We then had a great lunch in "Simply Italian" before going home. Lots of large and small boats in a lovely setting.

Like coming here for a drink. Walk. Boat ride. Or meal. Few choices. Reasonable prices. Lovely in summer

We love this place for an easy place to walk the dogs in all weathers-lots of paved routes and oodles of parking. There are so many dog friendly people here too! The beach is wild and lovely, sometimes there are seals in the harbour and there's always beautiful boats to look at. It's a relaxing spot and the nearby shops are handy too. Also the public loos are always clean! If I had anything negative to say it would be that the marketing is tired and outdated and it would be nice if the pub was something independent with vibe rather than yet another Harvester but these are minor gripes.... All in all a very picturesque marina that makes the most of its setting.

We went to see by car but didn't really find any suitable eateries and it all looked rather stark. The berthing looked secure but not certain I would want to spend a long time if visiting by boat as little to do.

We had a nice walk to the Harbour, along the beach to reach it, and a walk around the harbour itself. However, there could be more shops and Cafés situated along it.

Great to walk around and look at the yachts and boats. Some nice cafes. We sat on one of the benches in the sunshine and watched the boats coming in and out. Nice place to while away some time. Beautifully clean and tidy.

The area is fabulous for walking . Lots to look at with plenty of cruisers in the harbour to ogle , the workings of the lock gates the seabirds and if you are lucky capturing the couple of seals that play in the outer harbour. There is plenty of Restaurants and Cafes to suit all tastes and pockets. The splendid little pub , which is not obvious at first serves a wonderful selection of food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately this is only at lunch times. Pick up a free map of the area which are available outside most of the restaurants . Enjoy

A smart residential area; the harbour full with little boats. Very quaint. A number of nice cafes and restaurants. A friendly place to visits. A nice walk around the harbour, followed by tea and breakfast. Well worth a visit.

This could be so much more. You ca wander around and look at the boats. You can wander around and look at everybody's houses. There are a few restaurants and there was a shop there There is a chandlers and a wedding dress shop, bizzarely. It could have so much more character. There is an industrial shopping area ext door with an Asda, Next, TK Maxx, Bpots, Sports Direct, cinema, Wilko, etc, but it just seems so disjointed Some independant shops close by would be better and make it more of a place to visit.

A little disappointing on the shop front as it is advertised as having gift shops but in reality there aren’t many shops at all. plenty of places to eat and drink. Retail park next to marina was better for shopping.

This is a typical modern large marina.

Nothing wrong with that though.

Good selection of eating houses. Some expensive, some less so. Shopping retail park right beside it.

But plenty of parking, and remarkably it’s free. So there are no worries about ‘getting back to the car’.

Also very relaxing to walk round to the locks and watch boats entering and leaving the harbour. I could do that for hours, sad soul that I am.

Yes a decent place to spend an hour or three.
