Phillip is an amazing instructor! From the very first lesson, he made me feel comfortable and supported. He’s so calm and patient, which really helped me stay relaxed while learning. Driving through the small gaps in the Old Town always made me nervous, but Phillip helped me build my confidence — and he never minded when I started singing to calm myself down! You can tell he’s really skilled and knows exactly how to guide you through everything. Thanks to his help, I passed my driving test first time! Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. I'll miss our chats and singing session :D

Phillip is an excellent instructor.. I feel that with everything he has taught both my children gives them the safest possible start to their future on the roads. He is understanding , patient and adjusts his teaching to the new driver to ensure they maximize their learning. We cannot thank him enough

If I could give Simply Automatic more than 5/5, I would!<br><br>Having passed my test a long time ago, but not driven for 25 years, I was extremely nervous about getting back on the road. I felt I needed an instructor to give me a few lessons to give me confidence and make sure I was able to drive. Luckily, I chose Phillip at Simply Automatic.<br><br>From the outset, Phillip has involved me in deciding what would help me feel comfortable behind the wheel. Over the course of three lessons we have practised a range of manoeuvres and driven in different environments. Phillip has been constructive at all times, has given me lots of handy tips and has made sure he was covering what I wanted to re-learn. All of which he has done with great patience, humour and professionalism.<br><br>In the space of two weeks, Phillip has taken me from being someone who wasn't even sure they wanted to get behind the wheel again, to being someone who has today driven home their own newly purchased car.<br><br>Thank you Phillip for everything. I’ve spent so long thinking I’m not good enough to drive but learning with Phillip has truly opened my eyes to the possibilities I could achieve through hard work and perseverance. Phillip has never made me feel like I cannot drive, and has always made me feel alright after making a mistake. Phillip has an outstanding outlook on driving and really helps you learn at ease. He explains things in a way that doesn’t make you feel silly, but also helps you understand what he’s talking about. He has provided me with many tips on how to overcome test nerves on the day, and using those tips I managed to pass today. I’d like to thank Phillip for helping me achieve my freedom and showing me how far my perseverance can take me. :)

Wow what can i say !Phillip is an amazing instructor ,he really puts you at ease 👌...I was confident because i had lessons previously ,but nothing like with Phillip.. We cannot recommend Phillip and Simply Automatic highly enough. Our daughter has autism and can be extremely anxious, especially in new or demanding situations. Under Philip’s very patient and professional guidance, she has passed her test well at the first attempt- learning how to drive for life and establishing good habits which will stand her in good stead as she ventures out independently.<br>I will reiterate that Phillip has gone above and beyond to teach and reassure her, showing sensitivity and a good sense of humour, which is invaluable in a stressful lesson. He has liaised with me (her mum) in order that I could supplement her lessons with extra practice, and encouraged me to sit in on the occasional lesson to ensure we are all helping my daughter in a consistent way.<br>Thanks to Simply Automatic - you deserve every success.

I passed my test on the first try, and it was all made possible by this amazing instructor. He understood what I was struggling with, recognized my fears, and worked with me to ease my tension. As someone driving in the UK for the first time, I would say learning from Phillip was a good choice. He is very thorough and makes sure you are doing the right things all the time. If there are any mistakes then he feedbacks to you soon enough which I found very helpful to work on straightaway. Thanks to him, I passed the test on the first try!

Philip is an amazing instructor. He taught me with so much patience, friendliness and occasional humor that put my mind at ease. When I make mistakes, he would patiently explain to me why I shouldn’t have done that and tell me the right technique to use. He poured so much knowledge into me being his student and lessons were very interactive. I used to drive as a tunnel vision driver (I didn’t even know that existed till he pointed it out), he taught me how to scan the area while driving and preemptively react to situations on the road.<br><br>Philip is actually best experienced, no amount of words can describe what a fantastic instructor he is! I highly recommend his services as I got a five star experience being his student.<br><br>I passed my test at my first go under his tutelage, it was extremely emotional for me as I had found the driving test to be quite daunting. Driving has always been a big obstacle for me, as I never felt confident, I had many lessons with driving instructors before but I didn't pass the test, I didn't feel confident, and I was always very nervous which made me make mistakes, which led to me failing 4 times. I started taking classes with Phillip, and he was always very patient, he made me feel more confident and less nervous, and thanks to all his patience and amazing lessons, I felt prepared, and managed to pass! I will always be grateful to him for teaching me how to drive!

I cannot recommend Phillip enough. He is my third driving instructor as I struggled with others, and possibly one of the most patient and kind people out there. Phillip goes at your pace, and pushes you to be the best driver - he has helped me reach my full potential. As someone who suffers with a lot of health conditions - I could not have asked for a better, more patient, friendly and kind instructor. Phillip has helped me in more ways than general driving, helping me to tackle different situations when I am anxious - breathing techniques and a different mindset. I can now say, not only am I miles more confident but I am a safe driver. Thank you so much Phillip, I’m over the moon that I’ve now passed - but I’ll miss our lessons together.

I can’t recommend Phillip highly enough! I had given up learning elsewhere twice before - as a very anxious late-learner, it has not been an easy ride. Genuinely, I think I would have given up again if it weren’t for Phillip’s informed and empathetic teaching. He was so patient and understanding but also continued to challenge me in a way that always felt safe. Not only has he helped me to pass my test (a feat in itself) but he has prepared me for real-world driving. In my first few days of driving independently, I am already confidently reverse-bay parking in busy car parks around town. I feel fully equipped to face all the many uncertainties that driving entails. He quickly identifies and adapts his teaching style to each individual’s needs. It never felt like I was just another number to get through the test but rather that he genuinely cared about helping people become safe and confident drivers. He also made lessons feel fun and relaxed and we had great chats!

I could not have asked for a better driving instructor! Phillip never once made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. He was always so supportive, never once shouted and was so patient and encouraging. I never thought I would enjoy my driving lessons but I ended up looking forward to them.
