I can only give three because as a wheelchair user accompanied by a carer, I thought the spaces were not big enough for three chairs as advertised, but two only.
I enjoyed the Adele tribute act and would go again. The staff were lovely.

Brilliant night, this local lass has a great voice and her show is very entertaining.Great setting in this small theatre makes it an more intimate experience.

A friend and I attended a show here and it was brilliant. The venue was clean and well presented and the acoustics were great. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again

How wonderful to see such an old and original theatre still being used and being staffed by such enthusiastic staff! I believe it is about 130 years old and has the warm and relaxing atmosphere that makes you "feel at home", we watched an early xmas show!! however they all worked hard especially Grant, and gave a full two hour performance much to everyones enjoyment....well done to all involved.

A lovely old theatre with bags of character, friendly staff and The Billy Joel Songbook show was 1st class.

Super show, fabulous cast and helpful staff on arrival. The down side of attending this venue is the parking, limited disabled parking directly outside and general parking is quite difficult in the vicinity.
The overall experience is lovely, refreshments reasonably priced and a Great Wall of fame to look at.

The theatre itself is great - comfy seats with plenty of legroom. The staff could not have been more welcoming. As for the show itself - Elio Pace plays the Billy Joel Songbook - it was amazing. Elio is a true devotee of BJ, and gave us lots of background information about the why, where and when the songs were written. We were treated to old songs, lesser-known songs, the love songs and of course all the favourites. Everyone was on their feet, rocking in the aisles. Magic

Elio Pace was excellent again. This was our second visit to see him and the show and musicians were fantastic. A great atmosphere to the whole evening.

This was our third visit in recent months to this lovely Theatre. Elio Pace and his Band provided us with a tremendous evening's entertainment. We would highly recommend this venue. Booking on line was easy, the staff friendly and helpful. Eastbourne and the surrounding area are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful Theatre located as it is within easy reach of the promenade. An added attraction is the presence of some very nice restaurants within walking distance of the Hippodrome.

On a cold Friday night we were welcomed by staff with big smiles who directed us to our seats in the stalls. Another nice thing that happened when we went through to our seats....it was pleasantly warm. We had good seats in row J (recommended as you have legroom with the aisle in front of you so none of the up and down with late arrivals). There is a little bar to get drinks abd order interval drinks and toilets. Ice creams with interesting flavours like sticky toffee, honey and ginger as well as the standard flavours are available. At least buying 2 I still got a in quid change! The entertainment Elio Pace performing the Billy Joel songbook made for a great evening. The lovely intimate surroundings being the perfect venue to enjoy Elio and his band. Thanks to all the Royal Hippodrome staff. Smiles go a long way to making an evening.

What a treat. Thank you to the staff (all volunteers) at the theatre for a very enjoyable afternoon, from advising which seats to book for lots of leg room and being on hand to welcome theatre goers in the foyer and give directions, to coming and taking orders for interval drinks. And the show was great, too. Very good lunch beforehand at Morgan's Bistro.

WE went to this show not knowing who Elio Pace was, simply liking Billy Joel's music. What a sensational night we had!!! The band and Elio were fantastic and the audience reacted accordingly. It was a 'stand-up' rave from start to finish, and now I am in my eighties, do not rave at too much. WELL DONE HIPPODROME, never a poor show. Keep it up, you have my support.

We first saw this show at the RHT in 2014 and have been over the country to see them. This is the 3rd time at RHT and he told us on Friday that there maybe 2 nights next year, we'll be at both of them!!
