Radio DGH Eastbourne – Local Radio That Cares

Radio DGH is a registered charity broadcasting 24/7 from studios inside Eastbourne District General Hospital. Run entirely by volunteers, the station provides high-quality music from all genres, specialist programmes and hourly Sky News updates. It also proudly features local content such as the “What’s On Guide,” created in partnership with thebestof Eastbourne.

Originally created to serve hospital patients, Radio DGH now reaches an ever-growing audience across East and West Sussex. Patients within EDGH can tune in free via Channel 1 on the internal Hospedia system, while anyone can listen online, via smart speakers or popular radio apps.

Why Radio DGH matters:

  • A trusted voice in the hospital and local community

  • Free, positive entertainment for patients and families

  • Volunteer-led with opportunities for local talent

  • 100% funded by donations and local sponsorship

  • Specialist shows, news and public service content
