A lively popular place, the food is average - certainly not amazing as some reviewers have suggested. Lunch has cheap options for very basic dishes, more expensive in evenings.

Excellent food. Best Italian restaurant we have been in Eastbourne.<br>Have been again and deleted 2 stars. Reason was a 40 minute wait between starter and main course.... Obviously something went wrong as not really hot. A further 5 minutes for vegetables to arrive....by then all was cold. In the end overcharged but I couldn't be bothered to argue over 2 pounds. Quality is good, service all over the place. Shame to be let down by staff.

Had a birthday meal for our daughter as It was recommended by friends Greeted by staff who were very friendly and helpful very clean food excellent, Calzone was massive but still managed to eat it all, presentation also perfect giving that special touch.Whole family enjoyed the meal and booked again to take some special friends just hop standard stys as high

We went to Eastbourne to attend both Madam Butterfly and La Traviata at the Devonshire Parks Theatre. We decided to go to Pomodoro e Mozzarella for dinner the first night and was so impressed we went back for the second night. Nice atmosphere, good service with a smile! great food, very nice wine we had the house red from Calabria! VERY GOOD value. We will definitely return.

Visited twice in 5days. First visit charming staff, second visit they seemed stressed and a bit grumpy. Big noisy mid market restaurant but very tasty food at a reasonable price. Plenty of choice from a big menu. Really good sardines.

We had tried to get into another Italian restaurant nearby but they were fully booked. I’m glad they were, because we had a fantastic meal here. We both had the tagliatelle mare E monti followed by the panacotta Al caramello. We were lucky to get a table as it was packed and when we left they were queuing up outside. I would suggest you book. The staff were lovely and very efficient. I just tried to click to rate this restaurant but it wouldn’t register but I would have put 5 star all the way.

Lovely welcome to a clearly popular & vibrant restaurant. Staff were enthusiastic and went out of their way to meet individual preference and flexibility in the menu choices Attractive and tasty starter and main course served by efficient, friendly and happy waiting staff.

Great proper traditional italian family run restaurant with authentic, tasty and well presented food. Lots of welcoming staff who are organised, friendly and attentive. Gluten free options available and helpful staff. Great for those with young families, open spacious and with a great atmosphere. Will return if we ever come back into the area.

We walked in on a busy Saturday evening in August without a booking and they squeezed us in downstairs, which was brilliant of them. Unfortunately this is a room for large parties and it became very full, very soon after we arrived.
Even with that, it was good food, good wine,friendly service and good atmosphere. We just knew it would be a better first visit if it wasn't so hectic, certainly for a spell.We need, and will, return when it is less busy.

One of my favourite restaurants!! No exaggeration when I say THE BEST CARBONARA EVER! If you want authentic Italian food, this is the place to go! The staff are so attentive, I can’t fault the service what so ever!
We got the calamari to start, the calzone (it’s fully loaded) and carbonara as our mains! No room for dessert although they were very tempting.
It’s great for couples meals and large family occasions!

Place was buzzing with dinners having a good time. Modern decor and furnishings, clean and well lit so you could see what you are eating.

A genuine delight! Not only is the food amazing but the staff are second to none. I cannot say enough about how fantastic this place is.<br>We recently celebrated my son's birthday at Pomodoro and the staff sang to him as as they gave him a special desert and a birthday card. His elder brother made a surprise visit and the staff joined in this by enabling a casual and very surprising entry. It was a wonderful evening and one that will be long remembered and talked about, particularly because of how the staff dealt with the evening. Thank you!
