wow wow wow. this place is amazing! it's always busy at lunch time so get there early to avoid disappointment. massive selection from the menu, loads of staff who are all very friendly and keen to help you. Good selections of wine and service was swift. tables were very clean as was the menus. clean menus tell you a lot about the cleanliness of the place. food was great and hot. a short wait their mains but this is to be expected due to the place being rammed. my wife didn't eat all her dinner so it was placed in a takeaway container to enjoy again later. I've been here 4 times now and have NEVER had a bad experience or meal yet. if you like Italian then come here

This is our favorite place to dine when we visit Eastbourne. The menu and dishes are exceptional and the service is very good. However, in our view, one thing lets the restaurant down, it is the dreadful quality of the wines. All of the wines that we have tried have been expensive but have had nothing to commend them. We are surprised that we have not seen negative comments about the wine among the reviews.

The value is unbeatable, £10.95 for two courses, a varied set price menu with good portions, excellent quality and fantastic service as always.
You can go on to the long ala carte menu which has some wonderful dishes
The atmosphere is friendly, warm and relaxed, we enjoyed our lovely meals;
I had the bruschetta to start, followed by the Pollo Milanese, breaded chicken breast with herbs, garlic , lemon and a side of delicious spaghetti with tomato sauce. Both courses faultless.
My partner had the ham pizza which was fantastic- crispy base and delicious topping, well seasoned and a very generous portion. Followed by the profiteroles.
We enjoyed some Merlot which was supreme.
Fantastic, can't wait to return.

The food was delicious, the servers professional (friendly, attentive, but not obtrusive) and every dish was presented like an artists palette, a picture per course.A thoroughly splendid dinner, with good wine and an enjoyable final digestive Grappa.

That was a real treat! The staff is super friendly and attentive. The place looks like a classic Italian restaurant, just perfect!
We thought the type of cuisine comes mainly from Calabria, but I might be wrong. Anyway everything was delicious. I had Risotto ai funghi e zafferano. Whoa! That was something really special. And after that Tiramisú! It wasn't gigantic, but it was soooo yummy.
I honestly would recommend this place. Top marks! If you happen to be in Eastbourne, just go there for dinner and you won't be disappointed.
BTW, the house wine was also nice.

So, my husband and I thought that after having lunch in the Italian restaurant La Locanda del Duca, we should go and try their neighbours for dinner and see how the competition is doing as they are so close to each other! And surprise! Pomodoro and Mozzarella belong to the same owner as Locanda del Duca! And that was a nice surprise! Again nice food, specially the calamari starter ( I forgot to take picture♂️) and the gluten/dairy free dessert! OMG! And some more friendly portuguese members of staff! Thank you and maybe see you again in the future

Been here two years in a row after beachhead marathon and every time the staff and food have been excellent. There is good set menus options if you want it cheaper.
The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They even took the time to inform us that the parking attendant was at our car. Our fault totally as we forgot it was Saturday and not Sunday. They still took the time to inform us. Can't fault anything with this place. Always been happy with the food and the drinks.Hopefully we will be back next year.

I reviewed this place in 2012 and again in 2015, both after visiting with friends for dinner the nights before the Beachy Head Marathon. We went back this year. My first review mentioned a few problems for vegetarians, and the second noted they'd improved a bit. Really pleased to report they now have an extensive number of not only veggie but vegan options on the menu - great progress! The bean and avocado starter was delicious, and the pasta arabiatta was also lovely, both from the vegan list. The pizzas looked fantastic too and according to friends they were as good as they looked. Still good service and still great value for money - we'll be back next year!

The place is very popular even in low season, and the service manual might (and in our case was) rather slow. Still the staff members are very friendly and the food was really good. Definitely go for the set menu if you'd like to save a few pounds (only available Sunday to Thursday)

Been coming here for years. Food has always been really amazing and more importantly consistently good. Service is generally excellent and the food is always good, quick (if you want it to be) and brilliant value. It is similar value (if not better than some) of the chain restaurants but it's an independent and that means they care a lot more about what they do. I may sound like an advert but only because I can't say enough. And my daughter says it's the best Bolognese in Eastbourne, and she has tried them all ( I'm not kidding, she can rank most of the restaurants in Eastbourne for their Bolognese).

Very good value, quality meal. Huge menu and good set meal options. Our son went for the kids meal, which was generous for a 10yr old. Very busy for a Thursday night - the manager greeted a lot of couples like they were regulars.

Came here for a Birthday meal with the other half's family. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone enjoyed thier meals. Lovely restaurent. They cater well for gluten free and fussy eaters.

Went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We had booked a table still welcomed very well even though we a little late. We chose the fixed price menus - one at £13 and the other £21. Prawn salad and the aubergine starters were both excellent. For the main course had chicken with spaghetti and veal pizziola and both were excellent. The creme caramel and apple strudel were both great. All finished with an espresso. The service was excellent. Attentive and not rushed. Even had a card and a candle with the dessert with the team of waiters and fellow diners singing happy birthday. It was a lovely evening and a great celebration.
