My wife and I went for lunch which turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The title sums up our feelings.

This is a traditional neighbourhood Italian trattoria away from the main drag serving the community and holidaymakers alike. We received a warm welcome and a choice of tables. The atmosphere was buzzing although it was early evening in April and fairly quiet. The menu is extensive and encompasses all the old favourites from all over Italy. My husband was suffering from a bad backache and did not want to linger long so we just ordered main courses. He declared his spaghetti bolognese delicious and the waitress loaded him up with freshly grated Parmesan. My Milanese was perfectly cooked, with a lovely crisp breadcrumb coating, and the accompanying spaghetti Napoli was also first class with a lovely rich tomato sauce. However, after eating a few forkfuls my husband's back was hurting so much that he declared his need to return to our hotel and lie down; every time he leaned forward to shovel food into his gob he was wracked with a shooting pain. We asked for the bill sharpish while I managed to quickly clear my plate of the escalope and mixed salad. The manager came to enquire why we were leaving so promptly and when my husband explained, he said he wished he had known because he would have sent a member of staff to another nearby restaurant to get him a more comfortable chair to see if that improved the situation. He then insisted that the spaghetti bolognese would be removed from the bill, although my husband protested that the quality of the food was superb and our early departure was no reflection on the meal. We were most impressed by the kindness and concern of the manager and will definitely be returning for a leisurely three course meal as soon as we can. Five stars for food, service and ambience. Bravo and Grazie mille!

Ate here for the first time for a family birthday and would definitely go back.
We all had the 2 course set menu for £10.95 each which was excellent value for money. The pizzas are big and we did end up taking some away. It was a Thursday night and when we arrived at 8:00 it was packed which was a good sign. I’m glad we booked. Easy to see why it is popular though; great food, attentive service and inexpensive.

Visited the restaurant today with friends for a pre-show lunch. Excellent food and service, reasonably priced 2/3 course menu. Will dine there again on our next visit to the theatre in May.

A lovely restaurant that caters exceptionally well for different dietary requirements. My only regret was not ordering the chocolate mousse, so I'll have to go back soon!

We have loved this restaurant for many years and came almost weekly when we lived in Eastbourne. Each time we visit we come and this was the first time we brought our little boy.
Great bambino menu and very good value. His pizza was huge. Our meals were very well cooked and the service was swift and professional.

Visited for dinner on Saturday. Extensive gluten-free menu for an Italian restaurant. Good food and service was fantastic despite them being quite busy.

A Saturday evening out on our short stay in Eastbourne. This was a short walk from out hotel so we booked a table. On arrival, staff seemed to be everywhere except seating us. Once seated we chose from an extensive menu (it took a lot of time to decide). The food was very nice and I’d go back, but maybe on a quieter night of the week.

A great Italian restaurant that was very busy on a Saturday night. Excellent options for gluten free vegetarian, and accommodating to other intolerances. Great value for money on top of it.

Came here unwittingly on “Mother’s Day”! It was my last day in Eastbourne and the other Italian (next door, same owners) was fully booked. This establishment offers a good selection of pizzas and was slightly cheaper than next door.
I was happy with my ham and mushroom pizza followed by a tiramisu plus a large glass of verdicchio all for £19.Staff were very busy but pleasant will definitely return.

Love this Italian restaurant. Usually go a Monday to Thursday as they do a good set menu deal. But went on a Saturday to celebrate Mother's day. Evenings you must book , very busy. But attentive service and didn't wait long for drinks or food. Food was excellent and presented well.Grandkids loved the pizzas. Only one very small issue was the ice cream did have some ice crystals in it . All other desserts were great and we'll presented. We will definitely be back
