Small, cosy and warm restaurant. Lovely ambiance and perfect for both a family night out and with friends. The open grill really heats up the restaurant so we were sweltering sitting next to it. Good measures to help with social distancing in covid but it is an increadibly small restaurant. Limited seating so booking a must. Wide range of Turkish foods, some of the descriptions on the menu are a tad bit and miss, so you can be a little unsure if what you are getting but all the food is lovely, freshly prepared and reasonably priced especially with the large portion sizes. Very easy to rack up a big bill, escpessially with the drinks so do be careful but a lovely experience. Has decent sized toilets in the back but steps at the entrance (which is also narrow) of the restaurant and to get to the toilets so not wheelchair friendly at all.

Trip advisor comes up trumps again, what a place and had the best seat in the house facing the Grill !!

Massive cubes of lamb on the shish and pide bread homemade and not brought in, nice service with a happy grill chef who does each dish alone by hand inc the fresh chopped veg, it don’t get fresherComplimentary bread, olives and tiny Turkish pizza.

Had a really lovely meal at Meze after being lucky as a walk in couple. Initially we thought we were out of luck but a table came free at just the right moment. Given time to look through the menu as we nibbled on complementary bread, olives and cheese we both chose cold starters of shaksuka and Hummus which came with more pide bread and the bottled "draft" Efes which was very nice. We had mains of lamb shank and mixed kebab which came with a range of lovely accompaniments, bulgar wheat, salad grilled tomatoes and green peppers and lovely thick yogurt. Certainly a very filling meal and really good quality. Only 30 or so covers but has a lovely ambience with the food cooked at a charcoal grill in front of everyone and all the salads prepared as each meal was plated. Highly recommended

I love the open cooking action you can see!
The eggplant/ aubergine is EXCELLENT!!! I have never enjoyed aubergine more than I did here! They brought us some mini pizzas and a Turkish bread while we waited. Great place to visit with friends

I visited with my friend and my Mum last night. My friend and Mum cancelled a previous restaurant reservation in order to come back here and show me this place as it had been so good.
Meze had a lovely ambiance and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It had a lovely family run feel to this inviting Turkish restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. They also catered well for dairy free customers, serving yoghurt on the side.
The food was delicious and we happily watched the chefs from our table, as they stoked the fire and laid out the prepared selection of meats and doughs, ready to cook. The salads were beautifully crafted and tasted wonderful.
The restaurant was full and ran like clockwork, again, nothing was too much trouble. I really felt the Turkish experience and I will definitely be back here when I am next in Eastbourne. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Very tasty high quality food, very friendly staff, clean premises and toilets. Our only gripe would be paying over £5 for a lukewarm bottle of water!

We visited on Friday night having booked online a couple of days before. We visited as a couple in the evening. We arrived about 10 minutes early but were seated straight away.
We were given a reasonable amount of time to get ourselves settled and then were asked if we would like to order drinks and were brought bread and olives to the table, we then ordered our food.As starters we had a mixed cold meze and a haloumi dish. Both were very nice and we shared them. We did not have to wait long for our mains and seeing them prepared not far from us was nice and also added to the sensory experience.
The restaurant was not especially busy but everyone there seemed more than content. The service was friendly and pleasant.
Our mains (My wife had a mixed grill while I had the tiger prawns) Both were expertly prepared and we enjoyed sharing both. The food as you would expect was piping hot having come off of the grill and were absolutely spot on. It was that good I really should have taken some photo's! We were the last in the restaurant by the time we had finished our meals, the chef made a point of speaking to us and encouraged us to sample thier liquers, which were great too.
It was exactly what you would want from both the meal and the ambiance.There was a slight wait to get the bill but I believe this was to avoid rushing us which was very much appreciated.
The environment felt covid secure, and there was spacbetween us and other tables. This was our first visit but certainly will not be our last.Excellant food and reasonably priced!
