Have wanted to try this place since they opened and was not disappointed. It is cleverly designed and offers an exciting menu (that French restaurant near the Italian border). The service was excellent and the food delicious; good value. Thank you, we will return.

I needed to drink a nice beer and eat a comforting pizza tonite, after a long working day and I found my place at Massilia Bay. It was lovely and I am really happy I went all the way from Eastbourne to Pevensey Bay where the restaurant is located. I had a long chat with Greg, the restaurant owner and also good friend of mine. It is always a pleasure to meet him and to see how passionate he is about food. I loved to spend the evening there and staff were great as well in their work and dealing with clients. A good place where to eat and be with friends.

Had a great meal, delicious pizza, meatballs were amazing. Sadly not enough room for dessert. Sangria was lovely too. Staff friendly and very accommodating.

Fantastic! Huge meaty garlic Prawns, bowls of mussels with Aliol, pizzas, waffles and ice creams!!! We are stuffed and all withing walking distance. A lovely bottle of cold crisp white wine with sdhoerb hosting. Will be going back for sure.

Great food - both the lamb and the beef were melt in the mouth. Crepes were delicious! We will be back - can't believe we haven't visited before.

We were greeted by Athiana our waitress who was just amazing, so helpful, always smiling and could not do enough for us.
We all had a starter each, thoroughly recommend the aioli 👌, followed by incredible home made pizzas .
If your down this way make your way to this place for a relaxing meal in lovely surroundings .

Had mixed dips for starters, all freshly made and full of flavour.
Had the pulled lamb for main, beautifully balanced dish with feta, tomatoes, and spinach.
Service was very good with friendly staff, had a bottle of house white which was very good quality.

We went to Massilia Bay to celebrate a family birthday. The staff were attentive and friendly, giving a warm welcome and great service throughout our meal. The food was top rate, tasty and plentiful. I went for a pizza and asked for some added blue cheese which was provided and tasted amazing. Although the pizza was filling I decided to squeeze in a caramel and ice cream waffle which was amazing, sweet, warm and immensely satisfying.
The decor of the restaurant transported us to a French village and added to the enjoyment of the evening.
We will certainly go again soon. Thank you to Stephane, Greg, and Adriana for a super evening.

This lovely bistro has been decorated just like it would be in France.The menu has something for everyone, we went down the French route,we had escargot which were delicious and served with an amazing bread. The mains we had the pulled lamb ,which was really fabulous tasty tender and well presented, My wife had the beef again really tender and well presented.our daughter had a pizza which was amazing with a lovely base just like the Italians would make, washed down with prosecco and draught beer all reasonably priced.service was very professional and nothing was too much bother. We will definitely return to this wonderful bistro.

I live in Pevensey bay and think it’s a wonderful addition to the area, me and my partner have been a few times and I have to say the pizzas are the best j remember having anywhere much better than pizza express and the service is amazing very friendly staff 10/10

We went on a Tuesday evening so it wasn’t too busy, the owners are lovely, welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. WOW! The food is amazing! We had the mushrooms as a starter and 4 cheese pizzas 🍕 for our main. We couldn’t manage all of the pizza so we asked for a box to take it home, this wasn’t a problem. I had a beer brewed by the owners at their local brewery, it was very nice, full of flavour and so much better than the mainstream beer available everywhere else. It is a new business, it’s nice to see the building being used after being empty for so long. We live about a minute’s walk from it.
It would be great to see it busier in the week, maybe some offers through the quieter months would entice people. A discount card for locals? You need the local’s support. Maybe 2 courses for say £15 (make pizza a bit smaller?)
I really want this business to thrive as it’s so good! I own a business too, I know how hard it is and what goes into running one do please do try it.

We've been staying at Pevensey Bay for a few years, and this absolute gem of a restaurant has opened since our last visit. What a welcome addition it is! Incredible pizza and beer, very welcoming atmosphere (our kids are 2 and 5 and they were made a fuss of), and a stunning transformation into a faux European street. We have an award winning pizza restaurant close to us with traditional Italian pizza and this is very close.
