Not great experience (see initial 1 star review below), but they did fix things in the end and the double room was nice enough.

Horrendous experience. Arrived and they’ve got my room booking wrong (booked and paid for a double; given a tiny single). Room is next to event space playing incredibly loud music. Just awful. They apologise but nothing actually *done* to sort out problem. Sheets are plastic-like. Would never come back.

Only visited for an afternoon gathering with sandwiches/snacks/beverages in reception room. Decor and ambience was top notch and the food and service could not be faulted. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.

Comfortable rooms albeit a little small in the ensuit bathroom otherwise OK
Coffee tea and biscuits available in room as well as bottled water
No air conditioning in the room we stayed in but as it was winter thus was not a problem
Plenty on street parking available
They had a nice little bar and restaurant was spacious with plenty of staff

The Langham is gorgeous (a vast cut above some of the tattier Eastbourne seafront hotels) Superbly finished interior, and excellent service from lovely people working there. Lovely cream teas and lunches.

I was genuinely surprised by this hotel (in a good way).
We paid a little more for our room with a great view of the ocean and pier. Our visit was early November so a nice warm room looking out into the cold was very pleasant.
You can pre-book parking which is highly recommended as you are allocated a specific one which is very handy. There's a small additional charge, but I thought it very reasonably priced.
We ate in the bar in the first night where they serve a good selection of burgers, hot dogs, chips etc. Good basic good that arrived hot, and was very tasty.
We were treated to a singer both nights in the bar. Both acts were catering to residents who probably have a few years on me (my knowledge of John Denver is lacking I'm afraid) but I enjoyed them none the less.
Staff were all very friendly throughout our stay which is nice to see.

It's about a 10 minute walk to the pier, but it's all flat and quite pleasant.
If I'm in Eastbourne again, I would happily stay here. Highly recommended 👍

Great coffee, children enjoyed their hot chocolate. Homemade biscuits a lovely touch and gratefully received by the children after our beach clean today. A lively, friendly atmosphere.
