We so enjoyed our meal at La Locanda last night. The house red is really good. I have allergies ( a long list!) nothing phased them and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Both our meals were delicious. My husband had the calamari and I was made something special according to what I can eat. The filet steak was really good quality and the king prawns looked fantastic.
If you want spoiling and delicious food go to La Locanda.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a couple of people and I must say it didn't disappoint. A proper traditional Italian (which we love anyway). A good and varied menu, both food and wine. Plenty of staff who were excellent. If we visit Eastbourne again we will certainly book a table in advance because I would be very disappointed if we couldn't be accommodated!

We met up with some relatives on Saturday for lunch, for us it was the first time but we can see why our relatives go there so much as food and service was exceptional. We just wished it wasn’t so far from where we live (about 2.5 hrs) but will certainly go back when we are in Eastbourne.

Visited during a short 2 day trip to Eastbourne this week. We like Italian food and this was close to our hotel. Very impressed in every way. An excellent and extensive menu - we had scallops wrapped in pancetta and a smoked salmon/prawn and avocado to start and followed with sea bass on a bed of spinach and tomato and tagliatelle del duca. All the food was perfect, well cooked, well presented and full of flavour. Portions were a bit large which is not a bad criticism! The service was attentive and pleasant. Perhaps we have a London mindset but we found the prices to be very reasonable for food of that quality. Decent though limited wine list and again good value. Hard to fault and would recommend and return without hesitation.

Yet again we had a wonderful meal at La Laconda which we could not fault. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection - the chefs are amazing. Nel who was front of house with Cassio could not be more attentive to our needs. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star or two as it is far superior to such restaurants we have been fortunate to visit previously! Thank you again for a great meal and no doubt we will be visiting again soon.
