Knock hatch is fine . It's expensive for sure ( we had a child party access so didn't pay) to get in but it has a bit to do. Biggest issue is that everything feels old, warn or tired especially the play barn where the toilets were pretty gross.

So overall id go back but not in a hurry .

We live locally and so come here very often.

A great day out rain or shine, the huge soft play means hours can be spent here even on rainy days.
My son had his birthday party here too- everything was catered for- even the party bags!

Just wish there was a bus route from the town centre or a pick up/drop off service.

Love coming here, there is something for kids of all ages and reasonably priced!
There are usually 2 for 1 vouchers to be found for here, or the annual pass is reasonably priced!
There is plenty to do for the whole day and on a summers day it's great to take a picnic and let's the kids do their own thing!
Overall I would recommend a visit.

Managed to get a voucher to get me and two 6 yr old boys in for about £13. It was not raining which was a real bonus as they enjoyed the outside activities best. They loved the quad bike towing little carts, brilliant idea! And the big bouncy pillow. Lovely selection of well looked after animals to look at/stroke. We took a little picnic and ate outside, which was chilly but fine if you wrap up warm. As winter not all things were open but there was enough to do to entertain for 3 hours, which was fantastic value for the price I paid. Went into the indoor play area and they had a great time even though it was very busy. I noticed the food options were very good value and child friendly (things like cheese toasties £2, jam sandwich £1.80, jacket potato £3.70). It was heaving so I couldn't sit down with my tea, and being pregnant I was extra tired but not the parks fault. Really good value day out. Thinking of returning with caravan as camping on site, when warmer.

I visit here frequently with my children to mainly use the soft play facility 'froggies' it was a cold wet windy day so you could walk around the farm if u tried, my mother and I along with my two kids paid £17.50 to go into the park to use froggies!!!!!! When I questioned the girl at the sales desk to why the price was so high considering adults cannot use any facilities within the soft play area and why we were getting charged 'peak rate' at the beginning of January she answered "it's sort of inbetween peak and off peak at the moment"!! Never heard of this before. In my opinion they need to facilitate for people who just wish to use the froggies soft play area especially on gale force wind days when your trying to occupy your children.
Staff are of school age wondering around with trays of food looking embarrassed to call people's numbers for food resulting in the aimlessly floating around while the food goes cold, more interested in having a chat with the 4 members of staff behind the till!!!
My kids love it here it's just a Shame it's poorly run with high prices for working mums.

We went recently there was only children's indoor play area and childrens trampolines outside so not sure why adults pay for entry in the summer I can understand as theres boats. The toilets in the restaurant are vile ive been 4 times and they have been disgusting everytime..... on the plus side the food and drinks were a reasonable price

Great value for money. I love their animals as do the kids, they also like the numerous attractions and rides. The Wave Runner ride is exceptional and is INCLUDED in the entrance price! :) I can't believe after what they have added for the summer that even more is planned, a new undercover play area will be added soon. The staff are friendly and the falconry staff are very informative, their shows are a must!
Note : Their website clearly states what additional costs are involved (minimal) and what attractions are open and when, so you can plan your day accordingly.

I enjoyed going to the park but I wouldn't go again, I didn't think that there was that much to do. After seeing all of the animals there wasn't much more to see, the rides weren't very good and the turnaround time wasn't very fast. All the staff didn't seem to care about you and weren't very enthusiastic. I would recommend you go if you are in the area but don't expect a lot.

Great Value and Fantastic experience!
Went to Knockhatch with the kids today, 7 and 4 years old, after a few other trips to places like Chessington, Paultons, Legoland etc was a bit worried this wasn't going to be enough for them, but IT WAS BRILLIANT! It was fantastic value to get in, and so reasonable once you are in there, sure there are a couple of nominal charges for extras when in, but they were nothing by today's standards - don't let that earlier review put you off!! And it wasn't for many things - there were so many things included we were pleasantly surprised. It was well laid out and well kept and even in the holiday peak it wasn't rammed like so many other places. And it was refreshing to entertain the children in a great mix of old fashioned fun with a modern twist away from all the commercial rubbish of long queues for ott rides! Wish we'd discovered it sooner and been more times over the last few years! Highly recommended.

NB. Take either swimming gear or spare clothes as there is a paddling pool and a brilliant water slide that you can get wet on called the Wave Runner. (check it out on YouTube!)

We visited Knockhatch on a wet, windy, December day. Part of the park was closed due to storm damage with only the farm and soft play barn open. However, the entrance fee was reduced to compensate. Our 2 1/2 year old had a fantastic time feeding the animals and riding on the trailer behind a tractor. The staff were outstanding, we spoke to several during our visit and all of them were engaging, knowledgeable and helpful with one in particular going out of her way to make sure that we got the most out of our visit.

The animals all appeared healthy, happy and well cared for; feeding the wallabies was a particular highlight. Once the rain set in we went into the soft play area which is large and separated into areas for younger and older children. Even with part of the site closed there was more than enough to keep our toddler entertained and, compared to other local attractions, the entrance fee is a real bargain. I cannot imagine that future visits to Sussex will be complete without a visit to Knockhatch. Thoroughly recommended, especially for those with younger children.

Visited as a family from 2 1/2yr old to grandparents. Grandson was totally enthralled by the farmyard and other animals, simply loved the tractor ride and the indoor play area was just perfect for him; consequently all of us were happy and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, food very reasonanable (don't spoil that, it makes a difference) we definately plan to return.

Park entry for my family including small nephew was an absolute bargain at £2 per adult and £3 for the little-un. We were basically the only people looking at the animals outside, but there was enough to keep small boy interested, and though he was a bit too young to appreciate the animal demonstrations, us adults enjoyed holding corn-snakes while he cooed over the ponies. The indoor play was well sized and fairly busy, definitely worth the entrance in itself, though for the majority of the time the cafe was staff with only one poor young man, tasked with taking orders, cleaning up and cooking, and that did cause rather a delay to lunch, which meant that we missed an interactive session with, amongst other things, the owls, which are my nephew's absolute favourites.

Had a fantastic day on the Birds of Prey Experience. Very educational, enlightening and hands on. Free lunch was also provided.

Jason and Nikki were excellent hosts. They shared their vast knowledge in a are very down to earth, friendly and easy to understand manner.

It was clearly evident they are both extremely passionate about the welfare of the birds.

Thank you for a great day.

We visited twice during our stay in East Sussex. Once during the weekend, the second mind week. The park has a much smaller attraction list during the out of season mid week times, so check prior to visiting. Our two year old enjoyed the animal farm and during the weekend, the adults could use the many rides on offer. Would recommend visiting with clubcard vouchers. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, would happily visit again if in the area. There are only two meerkats buy the way!

I visited here on a Sunday in September with my husband and toddler. Toddler enjoyed the farm so much that we returned on a weekday also. The best bit was the wallaby walkthrough where it is possible to touch and feed the wallabies.
The soft play area was well equipped and fairly clean considering it is on a farm.
On the Sunday there were large rides and attractions available with minimal or no queue and enough to make a full day out.
The park lacks the polished feel of some larger theme parks but this is reflected in the entry fees. We could not have asked for anything else

Visited here with two small children and one teenager and had a great day. There was a very long queue to get in and did take us over half an hour to get in but once in was well worth the visit. The new water slide is great although my seven year old let go halfway through the drop! But managed to recover and hold on but a scary moment!!!!
Lovely boat ride on the river and the kids loved the tractor ride and froggies.
Took a packed lunch and there were plenty of areas to sit and enjoy lunch.
The simulator and chair swings were also good fun.
Had a great day out would visit again

My daughter (4) and I were first time visitors today. Overall a great experience on an unusually quiet day! The animal encounters were the highlight - we will be talking about the polecats and the tawny owl for a long time. Lots of different play areas, many included in the admission price and a few "extras" for the older children. Froggies indoor fun was great but we were pleased it was quiet. I loved the rowing boats (included) and the adventure play area and the toboggan run were fab too!! I was just a tad disappointed by the overgrown parts of the park - stinging nettles poking up next to the steps by the toboggan run for example. On a positive, the staff were all really friendly and welcoming (and so young!!) and the Birds of Prey / encounters team were fantastic - such enthusiasm! We will be back!

After reading less than glowing reviews on here, I decided to avoid Chessington World of Adventures on a hot sunny day at the end of the school holidays and go local instead.

Despite arriving at 11.45 and all car parks being pretty full, there was only a 20 minute queue and, once inside, it didn't seem too mobbed and cost (with a voucher) a reasonable £26 for one adult and 2 children including animal food and 2 bungee trampoline sessions. One of the good things about Knockhatch is that there's a good mix of things for children and accompanying adults to do. There are farm and other animals, wildlife shows, a good selection of birds, an interesting birds of prey display, various 'adventure' rides (the new water slide - included in entry price is good) and a rowing lake.

The staff are all friendly and enthusiastic.

Most of the rides are included in the price and 'extras' (like bungee trampolines) are a reasonable price (£2).

By 4pm we were all pretty pooped and called it a day. It was good value and I didn't get the impressions that the owners are trying to gouge money out their customers at every opportunity.

There is plenty here to keep a family with active children occupied all day - especially if they like animals. The animal encounter session we attended was brilliantly presented and child friendly without being patronising.
Favourite attractions with our party were the wave splash, the go-karts and the Avalanche slide -although be warned the latter resulted in some totally soaked and somewhat muddy but very happy kids.
The main attractions are extra so be prepared to pay more than double the entry fee.
Also they have a barmy system where some attractions have to be prepaid at entry and others paid for on the spot. This means every family that comes up to the entry window has to stop and have a 'discussion ' on what they are going to do before they have even seen the attractions which makes entry extremely slow. We queued for 35 minutes on a Monday so wonder what BH and weekends would be like. Inside queues were about par for a theme park with some things immediatly available and others up to half and hour (35 min for the bungy) but more staff could have produced quicker tunraround times on some.
Last gripe the toilet facilities were pretty tatty (eg sole hand-drier didn't work), barely adequate and housed in a shed which was not very nice on a hot day!

We love knockhatch I take my 2 children aged 9 and 11 about 3/4 times a year, the prices aren't unreasonable and there are vouchers around all the time unlike other local attractions which are double the price almost! we visited today for the first time since March and had a fantastic day. The wave runner and simulator are brilliant added attractions especially as they are no extra charge we arrived at 10am and went straight there to avoid long queues but even at 1.30pm the queues were no longer than 15mins wait. Must say the staff were working so hard and we found them all polite, the lady in the snack bar was rushed off her feet but still polite and helpful, that's one thing I find is a let down sometimes is the food/ice cream outlets are usually under staffed and you will find long queues at peak times but we're British we do it best so we just get on with it. We were here 5 hours and didn't even do everything as we had to leave for an appointment but we'll be back again before the winter and will certainly return next summer. Well done knockhatch!
