Lovely day out at Knockhatch. Most of this is outside so preferably need to go on a nice day. Good balance of farm animals with attractions such as boats and water slide. The only downside was that we went on a weekend which wasn't in certain dates, therefore, a lot of the bigger attractions and more popular ones were not open. Due to this, I would double check next time I visit to make sure I am in correct date brackets for attractions I wish to visit. Limited choice of food in cafe and was a long wait (50 minutes) to get meals for children, however, meals are good quality and reasonable.

Knockhatch is a lovely day out at a very reasonable price (with discounts) with lots to do for different ages!! All staff on attractions very helpful & polite!

And then there's Froggies .... It's had a massive overhaul & whilst it's much better for seating it's still as filthy as ever!!!! They need to employ an additional 1-2 members of staff to clear tables & the rotten floor at peak times!!!

We had a fantastic day out at Knockhatch; young and older alike. What stood out most of all was the friendliness and helpful attitude of the staff. Everyone was very smiley and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The owner, Colin, was especially helpful for which are extremely grateful and would like to say a huge THANK YOU to him for the leggings!
We will be coming again and again!

What a pleasant surprise. A old school, low technology activity park for kids and parents to enjoy. Climbing, bouncy, jumping and sundry other ways to expend energy in a beautiful country setting. Entry costs were very reasonable and covered most activities, although it is possible to buy 'extras' such for Go Karts, Laser Quest, mini quads and the more adventurous activities. The park also has a range of animals, a petting farm and Birds of Prey centre. Food prices were good value and there is plenty of space to enjoy a picnic, although a blanket is recommended as benches are somewhat limited. We really enjoyed a day burning off surplus energy without an IPod or X Box in sight!!

Granted, we had great weather today 09/04/15, but really don't knock it. Not yet at least.
It's a petting zoo on steroids with a selection of animals to see and feed plus a number of attractions, many of which cost extra.
We've been many times over the years, and as my youngest is now 12 I wondered if she would still enjoy it.
Well she did. And I enjoyed that!
The good weather meant it was mobbed, but their "orange day" extra activities meant it didn't feel crowded, albeit parking was a bit limited later on.
We opted for go-karting, and as we were early we were allowed 10 minutes instead of the standard 5. 5 minutes cost 3.50 ish.
The water slide (inclusive) was a huge splash - pardon the pun.
Lunch of chicken nuggets /burger chips and drink at 5 pound a head was tasty and freshly cooked. But they have plenty of space to picnic. I'm just lazy. On holiday anyway.
OK. It's not the biggest. It's not the most varied. But we saw lots of happy faces.
And yes, the sun helped. But we've been plenty of times in normal weather and we went back.
Why not knock it yet? I have a feeling it could get expensive and it's already lost some of its mom and dad's business appeal. Given the huge amount of people already around the area and the vast amount of new builds, the temptation to up the prices may be overwhelming.
If my 12 year old wants to go again next year, I'll let you know. For now, we had a blast.

Plenty to do & see. Lots of fun. Parking is difficult and takes longer than it should, but will be back.

Itmay not be the most hi-tec adventure park around, but there is plenty to do to entertain the family for a day. Aside from the usual petting area, the owls and birds of prey, and kiddes play area, there is plenty more to see and do. If you take a boat out onto the lake, don't forget to get your fish pellets first - these guys are very greedy and fun to feed.

One not to miss is The Wave Rider. Even (if like me) you don't like heights, it's great fun and a must - at least once!

The entrance prices are very good (especially if you book online in advance). The food and drinks, although pretty standard fayre, are very reasonably priced for an attraction like this. Many of the rides and attractions are included in the entry fee, but there are a few extras if you want to pay for them.

We would definitely recommend a visit.

This was my second visit, we were given a member of staff, Dave, to take us round for the day. He was brilliant he managed to get us to all the available attractions on time enabling us to ride on tractor, quadrapillar and see an animal show. Add to this he was great with the kids. The weather wasn't good but we still managed to do and see lots of things. The children decided the highlights of the day was EVERYTHING! They couldn't narrow it anymore.
Will I take children again most definitely.

My Grandaughter and I have quite a few fun days at this park, she is only two so if you go out of season it makes it a very reasonable day out, different days have different attractions, but you always have the animals, and the soft play area. you can buy a paper cup of seed and feed the animals. also when my older Grandchildren go with me in season they love all the attractions such as go karts.
Even in season it is a cheaper entrance than most other childrens parks in this area.
you can buy cooked food in the soft play area, but would advice you take a picnic, only you get a long wait for your food.

We look after our grand-daughter who is nearly two once a week. We weren't sure whether Knockhatch would be suitable for such a little one but we weren't disappointed.
We only had an hour and a half but as it was a yellow day (in March), it was only £1.99 for adults, free for child. If you spent more on a different coloured day, you would probably want a longer time there.
We started off looking at all the different animals, mostly farm animals but they could be petted with facilities for washing hands afterwards, which was good.
We then went to Froggies soft play centre. Our grand-daughter wanted to join in with the older children on the climbing frames, slides and ball park, which meant I had to climb up with her! As the time was after school time, there were lots of exuberant children enjoying themselves but perhaps a bit too much for little ones. There is a corner sectioned off for under-3's with balls, play house etc. Unfortunately, older children were using it and swinging off the play house and no-one came to tell the children that they had their own area to play in.
If you have small children, I would recommend a visit before 3.30pm in term-time. I am sure there would be more things open in the school holidays for little ones.
I would recommend this venue and worth a visit as you could spend a whole day here if you took advantage of all the attractions, although some are extra cost.

11 year old granddaughter enjoyed everything,
took own food, buying food there was a bit expensive, particular favourite was climbing the
wall and the zip wire, also the go carts.

This is a great, all round, family day out. Loads to do for all ages and abilities. I'm a childminder so take a mixed aged of children from babies to 11 year olds. My younger ones love feeding the animals and my older ones love the water slide and adventure playground. Great food at reasonable prices. We loved it so much we took out an annual membership last year!

A great place wet or dry for a few hours or a whole day of fun for the whole family. We have been here a number of times as it is close to where we live and it is always good fun. We usually take advantage of various discount vouchers avaliable.

Visited today and it was all in all a really good day out. . You really can't complain. Some attractions were closed but we was aware of this before we set off for the day.

Positives.

Great animal experiences.
Great attractions.
Cheap entry.

Negatives.

Cold coffee. (Was replaced without question)
1 hour wait for food.
Needs parking attendant.
No towels or tissues at hand wash stations.

The animals all looked very well looked after and staff were accommodating.
Lots to do with a 3 year old.

I've read before that chandlers BMW rent the spaces for their cars which take up two or three rows. And that the park would rope this area off if it wasn't used by them to control park numbers. However this does seem a poor answer as people were then parking in the overflow car park and getting stuck in the mud.

Leaving the park was a nightmare as people had parked on the verges on a single track road and cars going in and out made it a stressful experience.

All in all the place just needs some small attention to detail.

But with this said we had a voucher for buy one get one free and for the three of us to have a day out for £10.50 you really would struggle to find a day out with better value for money.

We have been visiting Knockhatch for several years and always have a great day out. We recently visited in half term and although it was fairly busy, this did not spoil the experience. We got to the park just after opening time, so parking was not an issue. The girl on entrance was friendly and helpful as were all the staff at the cafe in Froggies. We had to wait a bit longer than usual for our food, but this was to be expected during half term week and we were given advance warning by the young lady who served us. We thought the pizza and toasties we ordered were way above standard for a park cafe and would definitely eat here again. Since our last visit, Froggies soft play has practically doubled in size due to the new extension and there is a toddler-only ball park in one corner. There are also new party rooms within Froggies which look nice and colourful - I will consider this for my daughter's birthday in November. Other unmissable sights at Knockhatch are the wonderful animals - if you like interesting and exotic animals this is the place to come. For example, the wallabies, a racoon, the meerkats, deer, peacocks, llamas and for the younger ones, giant rabbits and Pepper pig! There is also a Bird of Prey centre with some beautiful owls, etc. There are also other activities that are popular with my children such as the bouncy pillows and in the summer things like the waterslide and boating lake which don't have an extra charge. I had to practically drag my kids away at the end of the day! On the way home, my youngest daughter begged me to bring them back soon. On the whole, Knockhatch is good value for money. One tip - bring your wellies if it has been raining!

My 21 month old loved the soft play and played for hours. We had a look round the animals and brought some feed for them too. He loved the wallabies! The only let down was the food, not worth the prices. I will definitely take my own sandwiches next time. But will definitely return.

In my opinion, it is shabby and needs a lot of money spending on it and not going in owners pocket, which is a shame because it could be great!!!!

The soft play is great the kids have hours of fun. When the weather is good the farm is lovely too. The only down fall is the choice of food for children which I would suggest bringing your own snacks

We decided to go here as we had a voucher,so it only cost us £12.95 to get in for the four of us.
It was a great day, some of the attractions were closed as it's still the winter, but our sons loved it.
We would defiantly come again, but maybe in the summer months as it will be a lot warmer and there will be more for the boys to do.

We are on our second year of membership at knockhatch and think there will be many years to come!! Its such a lovely, fun day out. Staff are so friendly and so helpful. The attractions are all very good and what with the improvements to the soft play area it makes it an even more enjoyable visit. It is definitly our top most loved local attraction, keep it up knockhatch!
Oh and the hot chocolate is amazing!!!

This is a lovely farm and evert time I have visited in the last year they have had new attractions the one negative view would be that even after ordering coffees and drinks from the soft play cafe I was asked to sit outside in the rain to eat my home brought sandwich when there was plenty of empty seats

We came to Knockhatch for my granddaughter Megan's 5th party. The venue was excellent, so much space! The decor was bright & fun. The food and service very good, the staff were all friendly & most helpful. All the adults sat, chatted & drank coffee whilst the children ran around like loonies!! The parents could totally relax as it was so child friendly and safe. My daughter will definitely use again & a couple of the parents are going to book for their children's party. The bonus at the end of the 3 1/2hrs was being able to then go outside and see all the animals. Excellent value for money. Thanks Knockhatch for a great day!

We visited today as a family of 4 adults and 2 children (3 yo and 7 months), after reading reviews on here we really didn't expect much but decided to try somewhere new anyway.
Wow wow wow wow wow what a fantastic day had by all!!!!!
I really don't know what people expect these days??? We had a wonderful time, even though we had horrid weather we still thoroughly enjoyed our 5 hour stay and if we could start again we would have arrived earlier!
We enjoyed seeing the animals who all seem extremely well cared for , the soft play offering is a fantastic size and in very good condition, we went on the tractor trailer ride and the barrel ride thingy (quadrapillar??) which were both great fun, the animal encounters experience was run by 2 young lads who were extremely friendly and knowledgable and everyone that came along (about 8 families) all enjoyed a very intimate experience.
We enjoyed lunch in the soft play area - food was extremely tasty (we had a mixture of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, toasties and fish fingers and all were lovely), hot chocolate was to die for and the prices were beyond reasonable (about £24 for 4 adults and 1 child with drinks).
All of the toilets were clean and tidy too which is quite rare for mixed sex cubicles.

Sadly, we didn't even get to explore half of the park :( air pillows etc etc so we cannot wait to make a return visit.
Knockhatch is now up in our top 3 days out list along with Bocketts Farm and Longleat Safari!
They win hands down where value for money is concerned though!!!

The synethetic ice rink is an absolute waste of money, took my 3 boys and all we could do is walk around the rink. Not slippery at all, no grip from the boots and the only atmosphere was from the rustling leaves on the rink. Knockhatch as a whole is a great place to take the children but a waste of money to try the rink.
