I highly recommend Hailsham Funeral Service, they are an independent family run business and it makes a world of difference. These guys were fantastic, they took such great care on my mum on their premises, in Hailsham. I just can’t thank & recommend Andy at Hailsham Funeral Services enough. After the upset & devastation of losing my best friend Paul. He made such a daunting task so easy, simple and straightforward. As a family we found Andrew to be very warm and welcoming. He accommodated all of our request, nothing was too much trouble. On the day of our father's funeral, they cared for us, we were never rushed. We were very pleased with the coffin, which we had been guided to pick, which fitted our wishes exactly. The cars and hearse were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the glass roof on the hease was just such lovely touch with the sun shining down on dad. We would have no hesitation in recommending Hailsham Funeral Services, if like us you arrive with no idea what to do or how to go about it, they are excellent at a very difficult time in you life🙂

They conducted my dads funeral with empathy a personal touch Andy made it easy from the first call onwards . I can’t speak highly enough of their professionalism and attitude. Funerals are things you don’t want don’t want to arrange or attend as you would rather have the person still there . But thanks in no small part to Andy and his team we celebrated dads life with dignity and joy in remembrance as well as grief and sadness . HFS is one of the very few privately owned funeral directors in this area. Having a funeral director you can trust at a time of need is paramount. Having used and worked with HFS for over fifteen years I can say that I'm impressed by their honesty, integrity and compassion. Other funeral directors are deliberately 'hidden' fronts to large corporate businesses. And as a corporate entity those companies are accountable to their share holders. This can cause conflict for families facing large expenses and having to make decisions at a time when emotions are often frayed and clarity is hazy. The corporate funeral directors force upon their funeral arrangers a 'selling' mindset, realising the time to maximise a 'sale' of services comes at a point where the family is most vulnerable. The independence of HFS, plus their renown integrity in the community means you will be served and not subjected to finely manicured sales strategies. Plus there's a fact which often means a great deal to families faced with arranging a funeral for their loved one. Your loved one remains there, being cared for as a family member should - not carted off to a 'processing centre' far away and rolled in and out when you wish to visit your loved one. Additionally, when arranging a funeral there will be no hidden prices or 'add on's' - you will have simple choices to make, assisted by one of the HFS team, who will always be there to assist you from that moment through to the funeral and afterwards. With hand on heart I can say that their integrity is what makes HFS the only choice in this part of East Sussex.
