EpilepsySussex – Volunteer-Led Support Across Sussex
EpilepsySussex is a registered charity (No. 1113429) supporting people living with epilepsy, as well as their families and carers, across the whole of Sussex. Run by a team of passionate volunteers, the organisation provides information, advice and peer-led support to help people better understand and manage this neurological condition.
The charity organises community coffee mornings to reduce isolation and create space for shared experience. It also fundraises to provide life-saving medical equipment and raise awareness about the realities of epilepsy—locally and globally.
Support includes:
Information and advice for individuals and families
Local coffee mornings for social connection
Fundraising for epilepsy-specific equipment
Volunteer-led service with no paid staff
Direct work with local consultants, doctors and epilepsy nurses
EpilepsySussex is completely independent, with no ties to larger organisations. Their work is built on trust, experience and lived understanding. Every penny raised goes directly into the mission to support those living with epilepsy and to help build awareness until a cure is found.
If you or someone you know is affected by epilepsy in Sussex, this charity offers a place to turn and a community that understands.
